Chapter 6

Kendall's POV:

   I open the passenger door for Fiona who pecks my cheek softly before climbing in. "Boss," Reggie calls out and I look over finding the twins leaning against their car and I nod.

  "I'm taking Fiona home," I inform them and they nod while getting into their car. I close the door softly and head towards the drivers side then got in. I buckle and turn the car on before backing out of the driveway.

   "Who are they?" Fiona softly asks once I got on the road.

  "They're my bodyguards. Reggie and Ronnie. They have to go wherever I go to ensure my safety. My mom hired them," I answer truthfully and slow to a stop at a stop light.

   She hums softly, "how is she? I've seen her around mostly at the grocery store though. She would always ask how I'm doing and how the kids are then she would give me $200 every time. I always tried refusing her but she gave me that look that said you better take it or else."

Fiona and I laugh softly at that. "Yeah sounds like something my mom would do. She's doing great actually for a woman her age. Although she is walking with a cane because she fell down a few steps. Don't worry though she's fine," I tell her and quickly reassure her when she gave me a wide eyed look.

  I continue my way towards her house. "Is that why she is using a cane? A few days ago I asked her about it and she told me, she hurt her ankle. Nothing about falling down the steps," she breathes out and I shake my head with a quiet chuckle.

  "That's my mom for you. Doesn't want others to worry. She didn't even tell me. Tony called and told me which I was thankful for," I say with a small smile.

  "Tony?" Fiona questions in a soft tone and I glance at her briefly with a small smirk.

  "Yeah, my mom's new boyfriend. Well I can't really say new because they've been together for a year and a half already. I like him for her. Way better than her previous boy toys," I explain with a chuckle.

Way better than my sperm donor that's for sure. "Ah good for her. If he got the Kenny approval then that must mean he's a good guy," she says making me smile to myself.

   "Suppose so," I agree pulling in front of her house and parked in front. I turn off my car and got out quickly then walked around to open her door.

Fiona smiles at me with her cheeks getting a bit red and gets out. I close the door softly and nod at my bodyguards who came out of theirs to lean against their car.

Fiona grabs my hand and pulls me along with her towards her front door. Reggie follows after us. "The place never changed," I comment as I look at the house.

  She chuckles softly as we climb up the stairs. "Only a few things but other than that, no nothing has changed, Kenny," she responds pulling out her keys to unlock the door.

"Uh Fiona, is it alright if Reggie comes in?" I ask gesturing with my head towards my bodyguard who gives Fiona a friendly smile from the bottom steps.

"Oh uh yeah. Come on," she answers with her eyebrows furrowed slightly and shrugs. I get pulled into the house with Reggie following cautiously.

Damn nothing really changed in this house. "Fiona, what the hell happened with Big Dick Kendall? Shit," Veronica calls out and comes out of the kitchen only to stop at the sight of me.

"Big Dick Kendall?" I ask chuckling as I look away from Veronica to Fiona who went red in the face.

She gives a sheepish look, "yeah but I mean it's true. Thanks for that, V. I have to go get ready for our shift. I'll be quick."
