As dawn broke of the sprawling Steel Manor. The air was thick with anticipation. The events of the previous day had left everyone on the edge, and the morning light did little to dispel the lingering shadows of fear. The teens gathered in the grand dining room, its ornate chandeliers casting a warm glow over the breakfast spread.

Despite the sumptuous meal, the mood was tensed. Conversations were hushed, eyes darting nervously around the room. Biscuit, ever the vigilant companion lay at Jade's feet, occasionally letting out a low growl as if sensing the unseen dangers that lurked beyond the manor's walls.

Sergeant Steel entered the room, his presence commanding immediate attention. "Good Morning, everyone," he greeted his voice steady. "I trust you all slept well?"

A murmur of response followed, but the truth was evident in their tired eyes and slouched postures. None of them had slept soundly, haunted by nightmares of masked kidnappers and close escapes.

"We need to talk about what happened yesterday," Sergeant Steel continued, his tone grave. "The people who targeted you are still out there, and we need to be prepared."

As the teens listened intently. Butler Thompson wheeled in a large board covered with maps, photographs, and notes. "We've been working through the night to piece together any clues," he explained, pointing to various points of interest. "We believe the kidnappers have ties to a larger organisation possibly one with connections to your families."

Oliver, ever the curious one, leaned forward. "What kind of organisation are we talking about?"

"That's what we need to find out," Sergeant Steel replied. "But first, we need to secure this manor. There are hidden passages and safe rooms throughout the property that we need to familiarise ourselves with."

The mention of hidden passages piqued the teen's interest. A sense of adventure mingled with fear, sparking a newfound determination.

"We'll spilt into groups and search the manor," Butler Thompson instructed. "Each group will have a map and walkie talkie. Stay in contact and report anything unusual."

With their assignments clear, the teens broke into smaller groups. Mason, Jade, and Ava took the east wing, while Oliver, Olivia, and Elijah headed to the west. Xavier, Izzy, Jess, and Riley  ventured downstairs to the basement, leaving Audrey to assist Sergeant Steel and Butler Thompson with the central parts of the manor.

As Mason's group made their way through the east wing, the air grew colder, and the ornate decor seemed to take on an eerie quality. Jade couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. "Do you guys feel that?" She whispered.

Ava nodded, her eyes wide. "Yeah, it's like we are not alone."

Mason gripped his walkie talkie tightly. "Stay close," he advised. "Let's check out that door over there."

The door in question was old and heavy, its wood darkened with age. It creaked  ominously as Mason pushed it open,  revealing a narrow staircase, descending into darkness. The faint smell of damp earth wafted up, making Jade shiver.

"Looks like a cellar," Mason observed. "Let's see what's down there."

With flashlights in hand, they descended the stairs cautiously. The cellar was vast, filled with old furniture covered in dust and cobwebs. As they explored, Jade stumbled upon a stack of old letters and documents.

"Hey, check this out," she called, holding up the papers.

Ava and Mason gathered around, scanning the faded text. The documents seemed to be correspondence between previous owners of the manor, detailing secret meetings and cryptic transactions.
