"what, when was it? " I ask confused.
"when I was pregnant. " she whispers.
I sit there in dead silence
"if I am pregnant, please don't hate me. Don't leave me....please. " she wispers
"why would I hate you or leave you?" I ask
"because I could be pregnant, and you don't want anything else to do with us. " she says
"I would never... It takes both of us to get you pregnant..." I say hugging her.
"let's make a doctors appointment for later today." I tell her
"but what about Aroura and Mason? We're not taking them into a doctors office, where everyone is sick! " she says
"I'll get my mom to watch them. We'll just say you're not feeling well and we're gonna get you checked out. " I reply.
"okay. " she says

My mom arrives and tells us to be careful and wet get in my car. (lucas got his license a little after the twins were born.)

I hold onto Riley's hand the whole way there.

Riley signs in and the doctor calls her back.

Riley quickly explains her symptoms.

"Okay, I see... And are you two sexually a active? " the doctor ask

We make awkward glances.

"yeah. " Riley says

"okay, we will give you a pregnancy test to see if we can rule that out. We will also check for the stomach flu." the doctor says.

They take Riley down and take her blood.

We sit in the office waiting for the doctor to come back with the results.

The door opens

"she's not pregnant. She does have the stomach flu. " the doctor says
"but I'm not running a fever " Riley says
"it's a certain kind of stomach flu. First the vomiting, then the fever hits. I say it will hit you in a couple of hours. " the doctor says
"okay. " Riley says
"yeah, I can't prescribed any antibiotics...it just has to blow over. " the doctor replies
"okay, thanks." we say leaving

We get home and my mom it's watching TV.

"she has the stomach flu. " I say.
"do you want me to watch the twins till she gets better? " she ask
"oh. no you don't have to. " Riley says chiling
"oh, sweetie I insist. " she smiles

Riley starts getting pale.

"sweetie, you okay? " I ask
"Il be fine. " she replies

I look up at my mom.

"can you watch them? " I ask
"mhmm" she says
"okay I'll go pack then some things. Riley go lay down. " I say
"Il be fine. " she says again

I hand my mom the diaper bag and a small suitcase.

"thanks so much, I love you. " I say
"sure sweetie, love you too" she replies.

I go over to Riley, who is shivering.

"let's get you since Tylenol. " I say kissing her warm forehead.
