Chapter 7: The Tension

Tara rolled on her bed but the absence of the man beside her made her wake up. Dhruv wasn't there. She got up and saw the curtains are fully covering the windows, so that a single ray of sun couldn't fall on her. Dhruv entered the room with something in a glass.
"Uth geyi Tara... yeh lo dawai pi lo..."
"Subah uthke hi yeh karwi chiz pilani thi tumhain.."
"Tara... pi lo..." Dhruv spoke in a deep tone. Tara gulped the medicine.

Mahavir was busy in making his next plot.
"Jal ab shir ke upar ja chuka hai Ma... hum aur shama nehi kar payenge..." said Mahavir, "Yudh hoga... abassya hoga..."
"Parantu Mahavir... yudh karna uchit nehi hoga is samai... Saurya hai udhar... aur aur samai ka...." Swaraswati looked at Anusiya, "aur... Dhruv ke ghar jane ka rasta bhi Devgarh hoke hi jata hai... jab tak hum unhe ghar na pauchate humko shanti se kaam lena hoga..."
"Hmm... ji... Ma... aap sach bol rahe ho... humain shanti se hi kaam lena hoga... kutniti se kaam lena hoga..."

Tara entered the room dressed as Bijli.
"Taru?! Aap aj aise taiyar keu hui??" Asked Bhaiji
"Rajmahal jana hai Bhaiji...."
"Aap pagal to nehi ho geye ho .." scolded Swaraswati
"Nehi Ma... Saurya hai udhar... humain jana hoga..."
"Parantu kal jo hua uske paschat aap...." hesitated Bhaiji.
"Rajkumari hai hum... apna kheyal rakh lenge Bhaiji... itna bhi kamjor nehi banaya hai apne humain..."
Bhaiji had nothing to reply to this.

"Kahi nehi ja rahi tum..." Dhruv entered the room with valour with unknown depth in his voice.
Tara looked at him, "Per Dhruv Saurya hai udhar..."
"Saurya ko yaha lane ka bandavast mai aur bhaiji kar lenge.... kal jo hua uske baad tum us mahal ke as pas bhi nehi jane wali...." Dhruv spoke in an authoritative voice.
"Itna asan hota Saurya ko waha se lana to hum kab ka la chuke hote unhe Dhruv..."
"Asan kathin sab kosis per nirbhar karta hai Tara..."
"Kehna keya chahate ho tum..."
"Yahi ki tum nehi jaogi..."
"Hum jayenge... apna raksha karna ata hai humko.."
"Haa atyaraksha ke nishani to kaal raat dikha hi mujhe...."
"Behes mat karo... jane do..." Tara tried to go away but Dhruv stopped her by holding her arm and dragged her infront of him.
"Keya kar rahe ho chodo mujhe...."
"Tum nehi jaogi byas...."
"Mujhe jana hi hai waha...."
"Tara..." shouted Dhruv at the top of his voice, "Adhikar kabhi jataya nehi uska matlab yeh nehi ki woh hai hi nehi..."
The spectators stood stagnant. They didn't have the courage to move.
"Adhikar hi baat nehi ho rahi Dhruv... Saurya hai udhar..... humara baccha hai udhar...."
"Saurya sirf tumhara baccha nehi hai Tara.... mera bhi hai... chahe tum srikriti do... ya na do..." Dhruv left her hand in a rough throw.
Swaraswati was shocked. Was this the thing these kids were hiding for so long?! She looked at Mahavir and Anusiya, and they had no shocking expression on their face, it means, they knew it?!
"Chinta mujhe bhi hoti hai uski..." Dhruv continued his rough speech, "Valle baap nehi hu mai.... keya kiya hai tumhare bete ke mahan BABASA ne uske liye??"
"Dhruv... hum ashikar nehi kar sakte ki unhone humari jaan bachayi......." Tara wanted to make things calm down in a sane way.
"I'M FED UP OF THIS DAMN GAME TARA... " shouted Dhruv, so much that it didn't only move Tara back but also made Mahavir's heart bounce, though they didn't understand the words but still it's impact was deep.
"Tum decide kar lo... tumhain mere sath jana hai ya Surya Pratap ke sath rehna hai...." continued Dhruv, "just make everything clear.... ha Rajkumari ho to Raja accha lag hi sakta hai... mere jaise bhikhari ke sath accha lag na hi sakta... swabhabik hai... prem aur ghar basana alag hi hota na... to tum decide karlo..."
"Dhruv..." Tara frowned, "Yeh tum keya..... tum bohat acche se jante ho meri halat keya thi tab..." Tara screamed and was at the verge of crying, "koi nehi tha mere pas... tumhare bacche ko akele paal nehi sakti thi mai... bibas thi mai..."
"Aur mere ane ke baad?? Tab bhi bibas thi... itna ki dhakke marke nikalna chahati thi waha se jaise mujhe kabhi sach pata hi na chale... dekho Tara..jo sidhant lena hai abhi lelo... isi wakt...." Dhruv raised his fingure at Tara, "Agar tum aj Rajmahal geyi.... to mai yaha se chala jaunga... aur akele nehi jaunga... apna mangalsutra aur apna baccha sab leke jaunga.... bohat ho geya yeh acchai ka khel.... mai apne bacche ko marne nehi chod jaunga yaha......" Dhruv left the room angrily saying the harsh words.
Tara heart went vacant. She started breathing hard, gasping. Swaraswati and Anusiya came forward to comfort her.
"Dhruv aise vartav keu kiye?!" Wondered Swaraswati.
"Kuch galat to nehi kaha unhone... Vallabhgarh ki sari mahilaye janti hai ki Taru us yudh mai behosh hone se pehle se garvbati thi... Dhruv ki santan thi uske garv mai... itne din Chikitsak Dhruv shant rahe yahi Taru ki khuskismti hai...." said Anusiya.
Tara broke down. She started crying hard. Mahavir made a disappointing chuckle, he don't want to get into the women's affair, so he got out of the room to confront Dhruv.

Mahavir started searching for Dhruv and found him sitting by the feet of Kanha ji, covering his face with his palm, crying. Mahavir sighed. Sample couple this is!! Mahavir's rage calmed down, he went near Dhruv. Dhruv sensed him and looked up with red teary eyes. He folded his hands and knelt before Mahavir.
"Bhaiji.... mujhe maaf kar dijiye... mai.... mai Tara ko aise dukh nehi dena chahata tha... per... per.... woh jaisi arrogant stupid type ki larki hai... woh meri baat nehi manti... agar mai use yehsab na bolta to..." apologised Dhruv. Dhruv should thank God that no one here knows the meaning of 'arrogant stupid'.
Mahavir sighed and got sitted beside Dhruv moving Dhruv's folded hands down. He patted on his back and asked, "Sach boliye... jo bhi apne bola woh apki hriday ki baat thi na??"
Dhruv moved his head.
"Hum apki pidha samach sakte hai Dhruv... aur hum yeh bhi jante hai ki Taru ne bohat annay kiya hai apke sath... aur woh janti thi ki woh sahi nehi kar rahi hai... bohat bholi hai humari behen Dhruv... ay geyi Surya Pratap ke jhase mai... uske bhalepan aur nisthabhav ka anuchit labh uthaya Surya Pratap ne..."
"Pata hai mujhe bhaiji..." said Dhruv, "but aab Saurya ko nikalna hai udhar se...."
"Haa... parantu Durgavati ji ko akhwa karne pe baad pehra sakt ho geya hai... to Saurya ko akhwa  karna kathin hoga chikitsak Dhruv."
"Mere pas ek tarkib hai Bhaiji...."
"Ha boliye ......"

Mahavir called Jagtap in his secret room. Dhruv was also present there.
"Pranam Maharaj..."
"Jagtap.... aapko Devgarh ke mahal mai jana hai...."
"Ji Maharaj..."
"Aur waha Surya Pratap se yeh kehna hai ki unhone apke beti ke sath aisa keu kiya..."
"Keya kiya unhone meri beti ke sath??" Jagtap was confused.
"R a aapki beti arthat Bijli... apko aise natak karna hai ki aisa lage aap bohat chintit ho, dukhit ho... krodhit ho..." said Dhruv.
"Dhruv... Jagtap Vallabhgarh ke sabse nipun abhineta rahe hai... sach to yeh hai ki inka naam bhi Jagtap nehi... Pitambar hai... hum yaha unhe Jagtap naam se hi chinhit karte... jaise yeh sidh ho sake ki Jagtap Kapali ka admi hai aur Surya Pratap kisi tarah se uska khoj na kar paye ki woh Vallabhgarh ke abhineta hai..."
"Keya baat hai Bhaiji... awesome.. bravo..."
"Dekhiye Jagtap... apko hum samjha denge puri ghatna... apko byas Surya Pratap ka dheyan bhatkana hai... unko bolna hai ki Surya Pratap ne Bijli pe buri dristi rakhi... isliye Bijli nadi mai kud geyi...."
"Bhaiji?!" Dhruv was shocked.
"Bolna hoga yeh Dhruv.... Sainik Sadashiv...." called Mahavir
"Ji Maharaj..."
"Aapko pata hai aapko keya karna hai...."
"Ji Maharaj... Chikitsak ji ki sari samagri humare kabze mai hai... Sukanya ji ko bhi suchna di geyi hai... Sukanya ji Rajkumar ko lekar ghumane jane ka bahana karegi... unhe koi sendehe nehi karega..."
"Aur Sadashiv" said Dhruv, "Dheyan rakhna... Saurya ko late time use chupakar lana hoga... kisi tarah se chot na lage use... daam na ghute uska..."
"Ji... Chikitsak ji...."
"Jayiye aaplog... jay ho...subh ho..." Mahavir ordered them to leave for the mission.

Tara is still sobbing in her room. Is Dhruv so much angry with her?? Will he leave her?? Will he go away with Saurya?? No... she can't let him do that.. she have to find a way out.

On the other hand Dhruv was also feeling guilty that he hurt Tara. But he have to remain strict otherwise the girl will mess again. But he can't see her sad either. Dhruv walked to and fro the terrace when suddenly he saw Pukhraj crossing the corridor. A idea clicked on his mind. As he was going behind Pukhraj, he came infront of Mahavir. Pukhraj sensed Mahavir and greeted him, and the next thing made another idea click on his mind. Pukhraj asked who was with Mahavir, Mahavir smiled and replied that she's his wife Anusiya, he couldn't sense her because he isn't well accustomed with her presence.

Menwhile Jagtap reached the Devgarh Royal court and started his drama,
"Hukumm apne aisa kahee koo kiyaaa hukummmm" cried Jagtap
"Keu keya hua??" Asked Pratap
"Hukumm kaal raat Bijli rote rote ghar ayi... uski halat bohat kharab thi... khun beh raha tha Hukum uske pairo se... humne pucha... humnai puchaa ki keya hua bol beti... to usne bola ki Hukum ne mere upar buri nazar rakhi haiii....." cried Jagtap. A stir started in the Court room. Pratap went hesitant. How can he tell everyone that Bijli is actually Rani Antara. Everyone is thinking something else.
"Hukum... woh ayi thi to apke putra ka dekhbhal karne... fer aisa kaheee kiya hukumm..." continued Jagtap
"Aisa kuch nehi hai... aap bulayiye apki beti ko.. hum... hum baat karte hai..." said Pratap
"Kisee bulayeee hukummm" cried Jagtap, "Bijli seh konii payi... seh konii payi... usne nadi mai kudke apni jaan deni chahiii...."
"Keya?! Thick hai woh?"
"Pata nehi hukumm... humain na woh jakhmi mili na mili uski lashh..." Jagtap got sitted on the floor and cried slapping his head, "Meriiii betii Bijliii.... mana hum jallad baap the... per baap to the naa... ooo Bijli beti meri kaha chali geyi re tuuuuu..."
Pratap got disturbed, he took a troop of soldiers and went with Jagtap to find Bijli. The stir in the Palace spread like wildfire in the kingdom. Soon servants started talking about Bijli being Rani Antara's look alike and that too started spreading in the kingdom.
Vallabhgarh's soldiers took that chance, as planned, to move Dhruv's equipments, with the help of Sukanya and then Sukanya took Saurya, as if she was just making him get fresh air, and when she got chance she hid him in a sack with herself and the spies took them to Kapali's place.
