Chapter 2: Kidnap of the Devgarh Ladies

Saurya was sitting near the window with despair in his eyes. Surya Pratap approached him but he denied to go near him. He just moved away. As Bijli entered the room, Saurya went to her and hugged her.
"Keya baat hai Chutku ustad??" Bijli knelt down and saw drops of tears in Saurya's eyes, "Bechare ko apni Jadugar ki yaad ay rahi hai... hai na??"
Saurya nodded in approval.
Pratap sighed looking at the other side with a grumpy attitude, "woh kisi abasak kaam se bahar geye hai... abhi ayenge koni... apne hriday ko sakt karna sikhe Saurya banna... aap Yuvraj hai Devgarh ke... hone wale Raja... apko yeh sobha na deta...." Pratap left the room saying these harsh words to the kid. Saurya lowered his head and sobbed.
"Nah nah beta... rote nehi... shant.... hum... hum le jayenge apko apke jadugar ke pass ha... thoda samai dijiye ha...." said Bijli.
Saurya looked up at her and smiled. Bijli smiled back.

After two days, Swaraswati and Sukanya returned from their pilgrimage. Bhabosa approached them immediately.
"Swaraswati ji... accha hua aap ay geye... aapko kuch dikhana hai...." Bhabosa was taking them to Saurya's room through the corridor when they saw Bijli comming, jumping, with Saurya.
Swaraswati was stuck. It's her daughter, but why in such wierd clothes?! She's looking nice though, 21st century style, but in 17th century, it's not upto royal standards.
"Taruuu..." exclaimed Swaraswati.
Bijli stared blankly at her face for sometime, then responded, "Taru kaun hai?" In a light tone.
Swaraswati frowned.
"Hum Bijli hai.... ajeeb jagah hai... koi bolta hai Ranisa koi vindini koi tara koi taru.... chakkar keya hai yaha ka... "
Swaraswati frowned more, her attitude is not like her daughter... but she has somewhere seen this attitude before! Where? She couldn't recall.
"Jaise bhabosa Dhruv babu kahi dikh nehi rahe... abhi tak unka abassak kaam khatam nehi hua??" Asked Bijli.
"Pata koni humain... Pratap banna ko pata hoga..."
"Apke Pratap banna to ek aur namune hai..." smriked Bijli, "Unpe to aur bhi bharosa nehi hota... dikhate kuch hai aur khud hai kuch aur...." Bijli spoke in a hypocritic tone.
Saurya nodded his head to agree. Bhabosa looked at Saurya, "Aap keya kehna chahate ho Saurya banna...??"
Saurya tried to speak but he couldn't. He looked here and there to discover some sign to make them understand but he couldn't.
"Us din Chutku ustad byas thoda payar mangne geye the apne babasa ke pas... unhone is bacche ko suna diya ki Rajkumar ho Yuvraj ho yehsab sobha nehi deta apko..... ab bolo bacche ko koi aisa bolta hai??" Said Bijli. Saurya nodded his head.

Bhabosa looked at Bijli in suspicion. Is she instigating the child?? But Saurya too is agreeing to her! It means Pratap really behaved odd with the kid?! How can it be?! And why will it be?!

"Tumhai itna sochne ki abasaktya koni... aur ferse yeh kapre pehen liye..." scolded Bhabosa
"Keya kare Bhabosa woh bhari bharkam kapre humain na pasand... hum inmai hi sundar dikhte hai na...."
"Nehi aap sundar koni dikhti inmai... nachnewali lagti ho... samjha karo... yeh Rajmahal hai..."
Bijli somewhere became sad by the statement. Saurya pulled her skirt and signed to her that she's looking awesome. She gave a smile and the looked at Swaraswati, she's not revolting to the statement either. Bijli sighned and took Saurya inside.

In the evening, Bhabosa and Swaraswati were engaged in a discussion about Bijli. Swaraswati too felt it's her daughter only but her daughter will never behave like a nautankiwali. The two ladies decided to have a look at the girl again.
As they peeped into her room they saw Bijli dancing with Saurya. The dance blew up Swaraswati's mind.
Bijli was dancing and singing,
"Yeh isq hayeee baithe bithaye jannat dikhaye jaa... oo Ramaa... haa koi to bata yeh jine ka maza keu ane lagaaa"

Bhabosa was angry, she shouted, "Keya ho raha hai yehsab... Bijli?!"
Bijli went into attention mode and Saurya hid behind her, "Bhabosa... Chutku ustad ko maza ay raha tha... to..."
"To yeh sab nach sikhayayenge aap unhe..."
"Durgavati ji..." Swaraswati intervened, "shant ho jayiye...." Swaraswati managed to take Bhabosa away.

At night, in the room, Swaraswati looked outside the window and wondered. The song, the dance, Bijli's attitude.... she recalled how Dhruv made her watch a film and told her that it was Tara's favourite. In the film the girl had this kinda attitude. This song was there in that film with that kind of dance. There were other films too in that pen drive and there are similarities with Bijli's behaviour and the characters of that films. Her suspicion went to it's peak and then she tried to rule it out but again... the song... the exact song...
