the Storm lords pierce together of their visit for one, the Starks does indeed invited for an alliance and the 2nd is too accept Gendry as their new warden, which Edric easily found a liking to have another brother, which he heard was massacred ordered by Joffrey which he may never meet them but still angers them both that an innocent bastard like them was killed just because they are a threaten when legally they are not which further cement their hatred to the Lannister

Edric found Gendry to have better potential than him due to Gendry likely knows the plight of the smallfolks since he was born in fleabotton which he support gendry to be the New warden of the Stormland, the other lords have agreed though reluctant at  least with conviction from Ronan have vouch for the boy to be their new liege as well as support from the Tyrells, Olenna find young Gendry to have potential and given some tutorial before meeting with his future bannerman should they accept him
