A week later..
After days of nonstop song writing, rapping, and composing, weekends finally came. Jisung has been ignoring Leeknow everytime he sees the older, he doesn't know what exactly the reason is, but ever since the elevator incident, he haven't been getting any texts from the older. As an overthinker, Jisung thought that Leeknow had lost interest in him after the older saw that side of him. But little did he know...*Ringg ringg*
"Mmh..?" Jisung's eyes fluttered open, someone's calling him, he reached out for his phone and looked at the caller's ID. He sighed as he sees the screen, Mom.
"Hello?" Jisung's deep morning voice answered.
"H-Hello dear? I didn't expect you to pick up.."
"What is it, mom?" Jisung answered blankly, cutting to the chase.
"I was wondering if you can pick up your brother from school later? I am currently away in a business trip.. he misses you. It's been awhile since you two bonded right?"
"... Is Dad not available to do it himself?" Jisung sighed.
"Your Dad has been busy from work, dear. He has been in his room and he doesn't come out that often, he's working from home."
"You sure you want me to go there, mom? Who knows what might happen? Aren't you worried that you'll see on the news that your husband killed his own son in your household?" Jisung scoffed.
"Han Jisung! Don't say things like that! He didn't mean what he did last time.. he was just surprised of the sudden confession. Just please do me a favor and take care of your brother, please?"
"Tch." Jisung hangs up.
He suddenly had the urge to throw his phone across the room, but contained his anger instead.
-
*Knock knock*
Chan opened the door and was greeted by Jisung.
"Hyung, I have to go somewhere. Mind holding my keys for me till I get back? I might lose it so.." Jisung asked.
"You gonna be gone for a while?" Chan raised a brow, getting suspicious.
"I might be.. Just hold it for me, please? Better to be safe right?"
"You're right, alright then. Be safe, okay? Or do you want me to come with you?" Chan took Jisung's key.
"No need, hyung. Thank you." Jisung smiled at the older as he walks away.
"What do you think was that about?" Chan looked at his boyfriend, who's been eavesdropping.
"I don't know but.. I have a bad feeling." Seungmin frowned. "I hope that I'm just overthinking things."
"I hope so too." Chan sighed, closing the door.
-
Jisung arrived at the school. Stopping at the gate as he sees students come out.
He then sees a familiar figure came out of the school, looking around.
"Looking for someone?" Jisung approached the younger, catching him off guard.
"Huh- HYUNG?!"
Jisung smiled, "Hi, Jihwan."
Jihwan hugged his older brother excitedly, not expecting to see him.
"Hyunggg! What are you doing here?! I missed you!"
"I'm picking you up, duh." Jisung smiled at the younger warmly, hugging him back.
"Eh? I thought dad was going to pick me up? He said so earlier!"
"Well.. He said he was busy, so here I am! Let's go?" Jisung ruffled the youngers hair.
"Okay!"
"Orrr, how about I buy you some ice cream first?"
"REALLY?! YES PLEASE!" Jihwan squealed, running off to the nearby convenience store.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Jisung chuckled, following his brother.
-
"How have you been?" Jisung smiled at his brother, who's eating an ice cream in front of him.
"I'm okay! I ranked top of my class! Can you believe it?! I'm planning to join a quiz bee competition but I haven't told dad yet.."
"Why not?"
"He always says that he's busy so I haven't got any chance to tell him. But I'll tell mom when she comes home from her trip!" Jihwan smiled, eating his ice cream happily.
Jisung smiled warmly at his brother. Seeing that his brother doesn't get any attention in the house makes him feel sorry. He sees his younger self in his brother.
"Then I wish you good luck if mom says yes! I know that you'll win."
"You bet!" Jihwan grinned.
"Now finish that ice cream so that we can finally head home!"
"Are you going to live with us again, hyung?" Jihwan looked at the older with hopeful eyes.
Jisung froze as guilt starts to eat him up.
"I.." Jisung looked down, doesn't know how to answer. "Actually, I got a job now."
"Oh.. what job?" Disappointment creeped up Jihwan's face.
"I'm now a trainee on JYP Entertainment. Have you heard of it?"
"JYP?! ISN'T THAT WHERE LEE MINHO IS WORKING?!" Jihwan's jaw drop.
"Yes..? How did you know?" Jisung raised a brow.
"How could I NOT know?! My school is literally swarming with kpop fans, and I'm one of them! Leeknow hyung is so cool! If I got a chance to meet him, it'll be the best day of my life!" Jihwan squealed excitedly, fanboying over the idol.
"That day will come... Maybe when you're older." Jisung gulped. "Well shit."
"So you're going to be an idol someday too?!""
"Yes, I hope so. Our group name is going to be 3racha. Want me to introduce you to Bangchan and Seo Changbin hyung someday?" Jisung smiled.
"You're saying that you're close with Seo Changbin?!"
"Yep! Cool right?" Jisung smirked, feeling proud.
"Absolutely! Please do introduce me someday, pleaaaaseee! My friends are going to be so jealous!" Jihwan clapped excitedly.
"Yeah yeahh, I will."
"I finished my ice cream! Thanks hyung! Let's go home~"
"Wipe your mouth first! You look like a kid!" Jisung teased.
-
Jisung and Jihwan arrived at their house. Jisung exhaled, trying to ease up his nervousness. He looked at his wristwatch, 5:30pm.
Jihwan opened the door, "Finally!" Jihwan sighed in relief as they walk in.
"I missed it here.." Jisung mumbled. "Remember to eat dinner okay?" Jisung reminded his brother.
"Yes, hyung!"
Jisung's eyes widen as he hears footsteps coming from the stairs, "You gotta be kidding me."
"Jihwan? Is that you? Who picked you up-" Kim Jinwoo, Jisung's father, stopped his tracks as he sees Jisung. "What the fuck do you think you're doing in my house?!"
Jisung avoided eye contact, "Jihwan go to your room. Change clothes and take a rest, but remember to eat dinner later, okay?" Jisung smiled at his brother, patting him on the head.
"Okay, hyung... Be safe always, okay?" Jihwan hugged his brother, holding back tears.
"I will." Jisung smiled as he hugs his brother back.
Jihwan ran upstairs to his room.
"Dad-"
"How dare you set foot in my house."
