As the birds chirped in the peaceful afternoon, everything seemed peaceful with people doing their regular routine as it was disturbed slightly by Kagome yelling in disbelief. "I don't believe it! How cant they not know what a bath is?!"

The group which consisted of Ava, Kagome, Inuyasha, Kaede, Inari and Khione the shiny Ninetails twins, Lotus the Brionne, Wisteria the Floragato, and Caspian the Milotic. They were in the forest near a lake and waterfall where Kagome was standing in the middle of the freezing cold lake to take a bath.

Ava did give Kagome some bar soap she managed to make with some supplies she had but although she tried offering Kagome a different way was to have some of her fire types try heating up the water or have the water types supply the water instead of going into the cold lake but Kagome didnt want to do that way.

Ava was sitting by Kaede next to the fire as Ava combed out her semi-wet hair, Ava already took a bath and Kagome was taking a bit longer to take her bath. Ava was in her new travel outfit that her mom gave her since she kinda outgrew her old one. (See Ava's intro chapter for the picture, im lazy to put it here)

Ava was wearing a long sleeved white blouse, a black knee length skirt with black tights underneath pair with a black cloak and come combat books. Ava let out a sigh as she brushed out Inari's fur while Caspian and Lotus were playing in the shallow area of the water.

Meanwhile Kagome was shivering with how cold the water was making Kaede look at Kagome in concern. "Come, child. You'll get sick if you dont get out."

"I can't." Kagome says back to Kaede. "I'm covered in blood and dirt! And I feel like my hair hasn't been washed in a week." Kagome says as she takes a big breath of air before heading underwater.

"She'll be fine, but she does has a point with the bath. We've been attacked and been fighting for the past few days and we've been stuck in our school uniforms." Ava remarks as she looks at her and Kagome's school uniforms which were hanged up drying in the wind.

Ava let out a sigh before laying down on Khione who licked Ava's cheek before laying her head on top of Ava's as Ava remembers the conversation they all had the night the jewel broke.

˚₊‧꒰ა Flashback ໒꒱ ‧₊˚

Kagome was holding the shard of the Jewel of Four Souls as Inuyasha looked annoyed. "What did you do to it."

"Stop barking, Inuyasha." Kaede scolded the half dog demon, not in the mood to deal with his attitude.

"Leave it to her to wind up breaking it." Inuyasha says towards Kagome making Ava sigh in annoyance.

"Yelling isn't going to fix this, Inuyasha. What's done is done." Ava remarks as Inari and Khione were sniffing the shard curiously.

"Technically, it wasnt Kagome who broke it. But the crows foot she attached to her arrow who caused it." Kaede explained making Ava confused but she shrugged it off. "As ye saw, the jewel has now been scattered into many different pieces. One hundred, one thousand, who knows? Yet however many there may be, all it takes is one in the wrong hands to bring disaster."

'So basically the jewel was broken and it's scattered among the world when demons and non-demons can find and use... just great...' Ava thought to herself as she listens to the conversation.

"Kagome, Ava, Inuyasha, only by working together will the three of you be able to recover the shards of the jewel." Kaede explains getting a mixed reaction from the three. Kagome let out a sound of surprise and confusion, Ava sighed knowing how this was going to end up, and Inuyasha was the only one who could accept the situation but in an alternative motive.
