*Hides under duvet* I am so sorry this has taken almost a year to post, life has gotten away from me. However HAPPY POLIN SEASON. I wanted to close this up before I started a new story. Forever grateful for the love my first story got, thank you all so much.

Epilogue:

It had been two weeks since the group had gotten back from their holiday. Eloise had stayed with Phillip since their return, avoiding Penelope as much as she could, which in all honesty, she was thankful for. Colin had not left her side since they returned. There was a small part of her anxious brain that was scared that this was a holiday romance and once reality set back in the spark would die, however if anything, the opposite had occured. Who knew you could have sex in some many corners of the house. Her and Colin had made it official with her family, they were offensively shocked, however she expected nothing less from her adoringing family. When they had informed Violet upon there return, Penelope could have cried with how overjoyed Violet had become. It was so heartwarming to have a motherly figure, so happy at the prospect of being part of her family. Although she still very much was in her honeymoon faze with Colin, she felt the need to return to reality sooner rather than later and face his sister, whether or not she really deserved it or not.

"I need to speak to Eloise" Penelope voiced as her and Colin lay in bed.

"Oh, do save the dirty talk for the morning" Colin chuckled.

"I'm serious" Penelope chuckled.

"Do you think she deserves it" Colin asked. Penelope pondered for a moment.

"Honestly, no. But I do" Penelope smiled weakly. Colin squeezed her tight, he could sense her anxiety around the whole situation.

"Do you want me to be there?" Colin asked.

"No I think it's better, just us". Penelope confirmed.

The next morning, she had messaged Eloise to meet at the local coffee shop for a chat. Eloise had replied straight away, agreeing to meet in an hour. Penelope nervously walked to the tube to make her way over. She doesn't know why she was nervous, she didn't owe Eloise anything, however, no matter what had happened between the pair, she really did miss her best friend. As she approached the corner of the coffee shop, she got a text from Colin.

Remember, life is too short, someone as smart as you may never forget, however someone as compassionate as yourself may also never forgive herself for holding a grudge.

God, she hates it when he's right.

As she approached the coffee shop, she could see Eloise in the window, with two mugs of coffee. As she walked on in Eloise waved her over.

"Hey Pen, I ordered your favourite, chocolate chai latte" Eloise beamed.

"Oo thank you, I haven't had one in weeks" Penelope chuckled as she sat down next to Eloise.

The pair sat in comfortable silence for a few moments while they both sipped their drinks.

"So, if I may, I would like to word vomit at you otherwise I shall forget what I am trying to say" Eloise laughed. Penelope just smiled and nodded.

"I cannot put into words how unimaginably sorry I am, nothing I can say or do could ever justify my behaviour. I was well and truley manipulated. Quite ironic for someone who always vowled to be an independant women, Marina played me. Why I chose to believe her over you only god knows however what I can say is how utterly ashamed I am of myself. Honestly I was just so mad that someone may have hurt my brother, I saw red. You are my best friend and I don't for one mad minute expect you to forgive me anytime soon however I miss your face, I miss our bitching sessions, I miss everything about us. I want nothing more than you and Colin to be happy, you two are perfect for eachother and it is so lovely to see you both so happy, and If I am the reason for any upset than I would graciously exit your lifes but, please believe me when I say, I am so sorry" Eloise blurted out.

It was a lot for Penelope to process. Of course she was angry, she had never been so hurt by someone in her life, and she far less expected it to come from her best friend. However she knew how manipulative Marina could be. In a funny way, her not forgiving Eloise would be like Marina winning in a way, an outcome Penelope was not thrilled to continue with. Colin was right, she was far to compassionate to hold this against her forever, best friends again, possibilty not yet, however does she forgive her, most likely.

"Come here you weirdo" Penelope pulled her into a hug. "Please don't ever do this to me again" Penelope teared up.

"Never, I will defend you from now on even if I know you're in the wrong" Eloise laughed.

The pair continued to chat about what they had missed in eachother's life, leaving out her new found sex life at the request of her boyfriends sister. She felt whole again, this is what her life was meant to feel like, she felt part of a family.
