The distant sound of swirling cold winds and snow was the only noise echoing around a familiar (h/c) haired girl. "I feel so cold..." the girl whispered to herself, unable to open her eyes wide enough to discover her surroundings. "My eyes are too tired to open...my body is so weak...where am I?" She asked herself as she slowly began to drift off into a deep sleep once again...before an echoing sound of footsteps stomping in the fluffy snow began to approach her slowly.

The faint murmurs of the unknown person became fainter and fainter as y/n fell asleep.

Three hours later

The soothing sound of a warm fire crackled nearby, accompanied by the delicious smell of warm homemade bread and the warmth of a woollen blanket wrapping y/n warm and safely. She slowly began to flutter her eyelids open, lifting her head off the soft pillow she rested upon. The girl stretched her arms and yawned, looking around at where she was sleeping.

A cosy wooden cabin with a beautifully crafted fireplace, a scorching hot fire, a long maroon couch and not to mention the seven large husky dogs that lay asleep around her. "Huh..." y/n rubbed her eyes.

"You're finally awake...are you feeling any better? It's an awfully miserable night out there you know" an elderly man with a short snowy white beard and hair, dark hazel eyes, wrinkled pale skin, and a woollen patterned jumper and trousers chuckled as he flicked through an old book in his hands.

Y/n looked at the man for a moment before coughing with a small sniffle. "Oh you must have caught a cold from the storm...would you like a cup of tea? Maybe some soup with bread and butter?" The man smiled kindly. "I...Who...are you? And where are we...is this a dream?.." The girl asked, looking around at her surroundings in confusion.

"It is definitely not a dream" the man chuckled once again, standing up from his rocking chair across from the couch. "How rude of me...you must be quite confused. My name is Alex Mikhaylov" he pulled his hand out for y/n to shake. "Now I have a question to ask you...what were you doing outside on my land in a snow storm? And with just a light white jacket and no proper snow boots...It's very dangerous in the night out here" Alex asked with a concerned expression as he walked towards the small kitchen connected to the living room. "I'm....sorry I don't know..." the girl put her hand on her head.

"Where are your parents? This is practically in the middle of nowhere...they must be worried sick...do you know their telephone number?" Alex sighed, handing y/n a small cup of soup and a slice of fresh bread. "I can't remember..." y/n began to feel sick, her eyes slowly filled with tears. "Where did you come from? I don't recognise that uniform or that blue amulet you are wearing" Asked Alex, sitting back down onto his rocking chair. Y/n stayed silent and frowned, looking at the sleeping dogs beside her. "What is your name?" The man asked once again kindly.

"I...can't remember my name...or anything..why was I out there..where did I...I'm sorry...every time I think my mind goes all fuzzy..." y/n sniffled, rubbing her eyes gently. "No need to apologise...I found this buried in the snow beside you...it was quite damp so I let it to dry beside the fire place" Alex handed y/n a small photograph.

Y/n peered down at the picture. In it was a photograph of her sitting in a library wearing a white uniform with her hand pushing the camera away with a smile. "Do you recognise that location?" "No..." "do you know who could have taken the photograph?" "I have no idea..." y/n sighed, placing it beside her.

"Well...I'm glad you aren't hurt and that you are okay. There isn't great signal here but just down this snowy slope where we are now, is a village with kind people. I go down there at least twice a week for groceries and bread. We can go down there tomorrow after you recover to ask for some help on what to do with you...you can stay here if you like. I can give you warm food and a room to sleep in..you might remember eventually. Don't rush anything just rest" Explained Alex.
"Thank you..." y/n smiled weakly.
