Elizabeth's POV

After getting back to the estate i took a long bath and got comfortable in my bed before grabbing my phone from the nightstand. I rolled over onto my stomach and sighed tiredly before unlocking my phone, as soon as i did i saw five new messages and two missed calls from Jenny.

I knew she had probably felt bad for what she did back at the restaurant leaving me there alone with Nicholas. And i needed to talk to her, i glanced at the time on the phone screen seeing that it's now 10pm, i hesitated before scrolling through my contacts and clicking on her number.

She answered on the first ring-which caught me off guard- it was like she had her phone right with her waiting for me to call. "Betty i'm soo so sorry about leaving just like that- it's just-.." she rambled before i cut her off.

"-that Nicholas told you to leave. I know Jen- how do you even know him?" I asked genuinely confused .

"So you're not mad at me?" she asked quietly .

"I mean i guess I'm not that mad at you since he was the one who told you to leave." I said, i heard her sigh heavily before there was silence.

"So will you or someone finally tell me how you guys are friends?" I asked sounding a bit irritated and impatient.

"Oh about that- well you see.. Nicholas is actually a pretty well known guy i'm surprised you didn't recognised him back at the restaurant-" i cut her off.

"Jenny!- that's not important" i said mumbling the last part.

"Right- sorry uhm well what happened was, this morning after i flew in his assistant called me up and told me he wanted to take me out for dinner tonight but i should also invite my bestfriend too." She finishes.

"Jen how did he know that i'm your bestfriend?" I asked.

"I talk about you a lot - but anyways tell me-how did it go after i left" she asked sounding all excited.

I sighed,"Well if you must know- we just talked about stuff." I said dismissively.

"Stuff like WHAT???" She asked giggling on the other end.

I smiled before breathing in. "About that-Jenny i need to talk to you about something - it's kinda a big deal actually" i responded seriously.

"Well ok spill"..she encouraged.

I laughed a little at how unserious she sounded, "Jen it's something i need to speak to about in person- i wanted to tell you tonight at the restaurant but not infront of Nicholas...and then you left without even saying goodbye.

"Ok then-", she goes to speak but i cut her off.

"Can we meet up tomorrow for coffee..i'll tell you then." I suggest.

"Yeah of course- and i promise i won't leave without saying goodbye." She says.

We both laughed before deciding on a café for tomorrow, we said our goodbyes and i ended the call.

I was about to put my phone away when i remembered Nic's words..a smile crept up my face while i searched through my deleted contacts to find him. I unblocked him and added him back to my contacts. I send him a little text before turning my phone off and finally going to sleep.
