"Home?" I questioned as the other two mounted their dragons and took off "Don't you need to be with them?"
"They are picking some stuff up" he said as Sygaels head came to rest by his arm and I petted her head "You do know that interacting with a bonded dragon is a death sentence"
"Do you know that both you and Sygael said the same thing?" he tilted his head at me and turned to his dragon "Oh, you didn't know she was cheating on you with the enemy"
Xaden turned to me "How did you manage to stay alive your whole life being this stupid and dangerous"
"If you two are finished I believe that we have a few days flight to catch up on" Sygael piped up
Xaden sighed and walked to her wing, he turned back to me "Are you coming?"
"Sygael said days?" I looked at him "My sister is here and they will think I'm dead"
"Your sister will be fine Liam is with her and you will be dead as far as anyone knows"
"What!?" I snapped
"Look you can trust me and get on or you can not and stay," he looked exasperated "but your mother is going to find out you were hanging with us anyway so I assume you are going to wish you were dead"
I contemplated it and took his hand, I settled in front of him. When I was on Tiene with Mira he was a lot smaller than Sygael, I placed my hand on her scales as Xaden sat behind me and placed an arm around my waist. He settled his hand but he must have felt the armour, the blue fury took off and headed south?

We had been flying for a while when we met up with Imogen and Bohdi. When we made it to the mountains the sun started to peek over them lighting up the sky and heating up the morning. Xaden asked his voice right next to my ear "Why are you wearing armour?"
"If you lived in a snake den would you not bring an anti-poison?"
"Fair enough" he said and I looked down to his arm and pushed up his flight jacket - I felt him tense against my back and Sgael let out an almost sigh?
His relic twisted up and under the rest of his jacket sleeve, I pulled my pen out of a pocket out on my thigh and started drawing. I made some swirls into animals. Some into flowers. Some into leaves
"What are you doing?" I felt Xadens head on my shoulder and his voice was right by my cheek "people are going to think I'm weak if I have a sleeve of animals and plants"
"It's not weak it's..." I couldn't find the word for it so I started rambling to try and explain my point "I may not have known you for long, but I can read people and I know you have a softer side to you. I saw it when you deal with the younger cadets."
He hums and we turn to land in a clearing. "Where are we?" I asked looking around. There was a small lake the dragons were drinking from and Xaden dismounted. I followed his lead, dismounting how Mira taught me.
"Resting we're still a days ride from home" he said petting Sygaels nose and he rolled his eyes. Must have said something to him I conclude.
It does paint quite the picture, almost a complete opposite to the mental image from formation. It was the soft side that I knew was there..
I continued to watch the pair as Xaden tended to the blue beauty. I walked over to Bohdi and Imogen "hey,"
"Hey zaldrīzes" Bohdi says and I roll my eyes with Imogen and we crack a smile at each other.
"I may not know what that means but if she says it's flirting," I point at the pink haired woman "then stop" He puts his hands upon mock surrender "anyway. Do you guys have a notebook I could steal or any type of paper?"
"Yeah" Imogen ruffles through her small shoulder bag and pulled out a small sketchbook. My sketchbook. Wait not mine. It's Brennans, there is a ying Yang dragon on it and I have the white side but this one has the black one "Here"
"...thanks" I study the small book with a small smile and open it. "Where did you get it"
"Home" is all she said and she and Bohdi shared a knowing look
I nodded and went back to my rock and opened the cover
