Xaden turned to look at me and then to his dragon. I can tell by the way he is looking he had never seen Sygael act this way. I tried to see over Sygaels head but she wouldn't let me.
"Just a... friend" He said hesitantly
"Do not tell him who you are zaldrīzes." Xaden muttered as Sygael finally let me down and around her wing. I nodded and looked away from Xaden and to the man standing under an entry archway
The man wore riders leathers from toe to shoulders. I studied him. He had blue eyes and sandy blond hair. I saw the glimpse of a ruin on his hand. We stared at each other and my eyes met his and I immediately schooled my feature into one of boredom when I realised... Brennan.
This man I corny of me is Brennan? How? When? Why? Who? A thunder crack of a headache split my head in two I winced and turned to Xaden who was looking overly worried.
It wasn't him this time? The headache didn't subside and I could barely see through the pain. A sudden heat shock went down my spine and I crumbled at the feet of my brother. Imogen and Bohdi where by my side in an instant.
I looked to Xaden to see both his hands hovering over his blades and a deathly glare shooting to my brother. Brennan stepped toward me and Xaden matched it.
Imogen and Bohdi managed to get me to my feet. I didn't realise that they were yelling at my brother to stop. Only then did it subside, the tiredness after the pain is one I've never experienced before.
I blacked out it completely. My hearing stayed with me for a few minutes, I heard footsteps receding then someone lifted me.
"Your ok Zaldrīzes. I know you know. It's ok. I'll explain. Rest your safe." He kept his whispers shot and to the point
With that my vision went black and so did my hearing
