The girl felt a presence behind her back and turned around seeing the light hair boy having 2 glass of water in his hand. The boy meekly boweds and offered her a drink. "I know you were exhausted since you are heavy breathing, just thought a cold drink could ease it up." Ichikawa was trying his best to stay composed but seemingly failing since the girl in front of him was his idol.

"Thank you" she nodded upon acknowlodging his presence. She drank the cold water gently while still having her blood boiling at the sight in front of her. Ichikawa only stared at the two but mostly her and drinking his own share of water. "Are you his colleague?" the orange head started a conversation.

"Uh yes, I'm the newcomer and Sir was treating me well" Ichikawa avoiding her gaze and started looking at Kafka's direction. "What was he like?" the boy didn't hear her that well.

Kalista repeated her question but a bit louder. "Sir Kafka was kind and very brave" the boy glimpsed at the memory earlier where Kafka saved him multiple times.

The girl only massage her temple more at the compliements of the boy. "That's why I didn't want him this job" she looked at her brother who was still passed out. "My brother has this heroic urge to just be a hero even though he lacks, he tried to save every civillian even though himself was in the midst of danger. I kept telling him to quit his job because I could provide the family with my money" she sadly exclaimed

"Lili, I don't want to be a dead weight in this family. I'm the older one, I should provide for you"

"But he insisted since he said 'he was the older one'" The younger sister just put her head down low at the memory of her brother declining for her to provide. While the girl was talking Ichikawa was listening to her every word, really engrossed at her. She was already done talking, the boy headed to his own bed while the girl still silently sitting next to her brother.

Back to the current event

Kalist held her brothers hand and forcefully getting his hand away from his neck. "Brother I am the one who will kill you" she menacingly smile. Moments later her brother was filled with fresh new bruises, a black eye and a plump upper lip. The girl just crossed her leg and arm, and having an irk mark on her forehead, "I already told you that this job is very dangerous" the older one only have a pleading face that was a call for 'please, I will not do it again' with puppy eyes.

The girl looked at digust at her brother "You look like a blob fish" no offence to blob fish. To freshen up her anger she got up and left the room, her brother pnly cheered silently as he watched her sister dissapear.

"Senpai" Ichikawa said that surprised Kafka. "After the kaiju appeared and you told me to run, if you didn't save me then, I would've died today" Kafka's eyes widened at the words his younger co-worker.

"You were really cool."

The boy kept talking but Kafka's mind was flying else where, the memory of him and his childhood friend, Ashiro Mina.

"Well, it's your life, so it doesn't matter to me" the boy heard a small smack that made him get up from where was was laying down.

'You're right, when will I stop looking away from what's important!?' said in his mind

"Thanks, Ichikawa"
"You're a really good guy. I don't think it's a bad thing to give up, but it's bad to lie to yourself. I'm going to try joining the Defense Force Again-" The man was cut off by him seeing a kaiju which looked like a deformed huge dragonfly.

'what?'
'I found you' the kaiju went up his mouth and spreaded in his body.

"Senpai?" Ichikawa noticed Kafka's weird movements. "Does your injuries hurt?" his concern got the best of him, he slid the curtains that separated them both.

There he saw a human like kaiju.

Kalista's point of view

'I can't believe my brother still hasn't quit his job' she pouted at the knowledge that her brother likes his cleaner job. "But still it's better than him joining the Defense Force" she smiled and rested her hand on her pockets, his brother initial goal was joining the defense force also having a goal in meeting his childhood friend.

She left her brother not to show mercy to him but to let out a little bit of steam. She knows there's a medium sized kaiju at a near forest, 'time to slaughter this monster , well we aren't much of a difference I guess' she only smiled and saw the ground shaking. She ran with a smile on her face, the kaiju appeared and civillians screamed.

Kalista jumped 30 feet in the air and crashed herself at the kaiju, feet first. It prevented the kaiju to eat the poor woman, who was just picking up groceries. The kaiju was as large as a whole house and tough as a bullet proof glass, but as they say every glass breaks.

When the kaiju screeches it lounge itself to Kalista. She only stayed on her place waiting for the kaiju to crash at her. When the kaiju was close enough she upper cut it at the air, then she jumped high and downwardedly kick the kaiju. It crashed on the trees, she didn't show any mercy when she grabbed its leg and tear it from the body, a giant arm tried to catch her but the opposite happend. Kalista grabbed the giant hand and tear it also, earning a noisy screech.

"Poor thing, too bad your opponent is a moster herself" she finishes it up when she transforms her arm to a huge blade. And cut the kaiju into 20 pieces.

Kalista transforms her arm back to its original state. A thing about Kalista, she is Kaiju X also known as Doomsday.
