Ch. 4 Let's Try Pull-ups

Right after breakfast that day the Harrison family had a meeting which mom started by saying I know this is uncomfortable for most of us but this is also necessary because Luke unfortunately has been wetting the bed. Sorry I'm going to be very blunt right now. Like I said Luke has been wetting the bed and me and your father have talked and we have decided the best thing for Luke right now is protection so we have ordered same day delivery boys pull-ups so those can contain the urine. Luke put his head into his hands his sister Sarah who had been listening intently moved over the hug Luke letting him know that he was loved no matter what. Luke tried to fight back tears but lost and his water works were on overtime. Luke's mom ended the meeting and they all went back to doing their own thing. Laura asked if she could come over for the day and Luke said give me one sec. He yelled mom can Laura come over for the day! His mom yelled back sure but don't do anything stupid! Luke rolled his eyes and told Laura yeah you can come. She said great see ya in thirty minutes.  Laura lives on the other side of town and has a passion for music (hip hop) sports ( mainly Luke's) and Luke himself. She also has a very caring and supportive plus understanding personality. Sarah knocked and said can I talk to you I said come in. She walked in and said what are you going to do about this new situation? Luke said wear them and hope this goes away quickly or the doctor has got something. Anyway I will just have to keep going on with my normal routine and make sure that I continue to live my life to the fullest instead of feeling sorry for myself. Sarah smiled and nodded then the doorbell rang and Luke said probably my girlfriend and Sarah said aww sarcastically so on his way to answer the door he gave her a playful push. As soon as Luke answered the door he was greeted by a big hug and kiss. After that he said something really intelligent like hi. Laura said it's been awhile since I've seen you so this feels good. Luke chuckled and said you saw me yesterday while doing math homework over the phone. She said but I can't hug or kiss you over the phone so this is the first time I've actually seen you in person. Ok so I've have a plan for you me Sarah and William to have a sleepover next weekend. Her face lit up, seriously I'm totally game it sounds awesome because we can stay up all night play games make trouble do some shenanigans. We can do whatever the f we want Luke said with a sly smile absolutely forgetting that he had a bedwetting problem at the moment. Luke's mom yelled Luke lunch is ready come downstairs. Luke yelled back coming and then turned to Laura and said well come on we gotta get food and they traveled downstairs to eat. Luke's mom forgot that Laura was here and didn't make her any lunch. When Laura asked where it was Luke's mother replied Laura I'm sorry I forgot you were here but if you'd like I can make you some lunch now. Luke said Laura you can have mine I'll wait for more don't worry I haven't touched it yet. As Laura ate Luke said mom how did you forget about Laura? Luke's mom said I'm sorry I didn't mean to it was a mistake. Two minutes later Luke's mom gave Luke lunch and sat down next to Laura. Although lunch they were whispering to each other with Luke and Laura giggling. Sarah was desperately trying to find out what they were saying while being discreet while Mom rolled her eyes and read her book. At five PM Laura had to go and her and Luke had a long embrace before she headed out. Sarah came over and asked what were you guys talking about. Luke said nothing that concerns you. Sarah rolled her eyes and headed towards her room. At five thirty the doorbell rang Luke got up opened it up but he saw an Amazon package on his porch and a Amazon van driving away. Luke thought to himself these must be my pull-ups. He went upstairs to his room and took out his hidden switchblade and opened up the box. Sure enough just like he thought they were his pull-ups. He decided to pull one out just to see. Gosh these smell strong suddenly his mom yelled Luke Sarah dinner. Luke put his switchblade in it's hiding spot and the pull-up in the package and went down for dinner after he emptied the dishwasher and took out the trash and recycling he sat on his phone until 9:00 PM. Sarah said Luke were watching a movie in the family room come on. Okay I said and I walked into the family room and my mom and dad had already picked a movie called Hard To Kill. When they finished the movie it was 12:00 and Luke said lil sis time for bed. Sarah rolled her eyes but had a smile on her face whenever Luke called her lil sis. Sarah gave Luke a light punch on the shoulder on her way to bed. Luke went into his room and took out the pull-up box.His mom whispered do you need help and Luke said no. Then his mom said goodnight and Luke said goodnight. Luke took out a pull-up slid it on then pulled a piece of sweat pants over it and decided not to think about it as he fell asleep. He awoke next morning to his alarm groaned as he realized today was Monday and he had to go to school. But then he felt wet and threw off his blankets and was mortified by what he saw.
