Eva (crying):
"You two—how could you?"Alex (softly, looking her in the eyes):
"Eva, it's not like that. You're our mate. We love you more than anything."Ian (gently):
"Last night... we got angry because we saw you with other guys. That's why we acted the way we did. We weren't thinking straight."Eva stopped struggling, her mind reeling from their words.
Eva (in disbelief):
"Mate? Are you joking with me right now?"Alex and Ian exchanged a serious glance. Their expressions were dead serious.
Alex (firmly):
"We're not joking, Eva."
Eva (narrowing her eyes):
"Are you telling me... you two aren't human?"Ian nodded, his gaze steady.
Ian (calmly):
"We're werewolves, Eva."Eva's jaw dropped. She blinked, completely stunned.
Eva (whispering to herself):
"They exist? I mean, I've read novels about this, but... I never thought—"Ian (nodding):
"They're real. We're real. And you... you're our mate."Eva stared at them, her mind spinning. It all sounded crazy, but their faces held no hint of deception.
Eva (quietly, thinking aloud):
"I'm your mate...?"
They both nodded again, watching her carefully. Eva ran a hand through her hair, taking a deep breath.
Eva (sighing):
"I need time to process this. I can't just... accept it right now."She winced as she tried to move.
Eva (grimacing):
"Oh my God... I can't even move."Alex immediately noticed her discomfort.
Alex (concerned):
"Let us help you."Before Eva could protest, both Alex and Ian gently helped her sit up. She felt a rush of embarrassment as they moved with calm precision, as if this was something they did every day.
Ian (gently):
"Easy now."They helped her to her feet, but her legs wobbled, pain shooting through her. She grabbed Alex's arm for balance.
Eva (blushing furiously):
"I can't... I can't even stand."Alex (calmly, like it was nothing):
"We've got you."Eva's cheeks burned with embarrassment as they started helping her put on her clothes. Alex held up her shirt while Ian crouched down to guide her legs into her pants. They handled everything so naturally, as if this were their daily routine, while Eva's face felt like it was on fire.
Eva (awkwardly, trying to cover herself):
"You don't have to... I can manage."Alex (calmly):
"Don't worry about it, Eva. Just relax."Ian (smirking slightly):
"Yeah, you need to save your energy."Eva felt completely mortified, but neither of them seemed phased. When they were done, Alex stood back, inspecting her with a nod of approval, while Ian finished adjusting her shirt.
Eva (under her breath):
"This is the most embarrassing moment of my life."Fully dressed but still aching, Eva finally spoke, her voice shaky.
Eva (softly):
"Can you... can you just drop me off at my apartment?"Alex exchanged a glance with Ian, and for a moment, there was silence. Then, Alex turned back to her with a determined look.
Alex (firmly):
"We're not taking you to your apartment."Eva blinked, confused.
Eva (frustrated):
"What? Why not?"Ian (calmly, grabbing his keys):
"You're coming with us."Alex (firmly):
"From now on, you'll live with us."
Eva's eyes narrowed in defiance.
Eva (sarcastic):
"I'm going to live with you both? Right. Like I have a choice."She knew her words didn't hold any weight; she could see the determination in Alex's eyes. Before she could protest further, Alex swiftly scooped her up into his arms.
Eva (struggling):
"Put me down! I'm not going anywhere with you!"Alex (calmly, walking towards the door):
"No use fighting, Eva."Eva continued to resist, but it was no use. Ian opened the door, and Alex carried her out towards the car.
Eva (angry but resigned):
"You two are impossible."Ian (smiling):
"You'll get used to itThey helped her into the backseat gently, and Alex slid in beside her while Ian took the driver's seat.
Eva (annoyed):
"I told you, I want to go to my apartment. I need my own space."Alex (unbothered):
"Not happening. You're coming home with us."Eva's eyes widened, and she looked between the two of them, frustration bubbling up.
Eva (sarcastically):
"So, I don't get a say in this?"Ian (glancing at her in the rearview mirror):
"Not really, no."Eva crossed her arms, fuming.
At their house
When the car pulled up to a large, modern house, Eva's heart sank. She had thought they were joking, but they really weren't taking her home. Alex helped her out of the car, his grip firm as she tried to stand, but her legs still wobbled in protest.
Ian (smiling slightly at legs of Eva.)
"You'll get used to it."Eva (glaring at them both in anger):
"I told you to take me to my apartment."Alex (calmly, as if stating a fact):
"You're staying with us from now on. No more arguments."Eva (angry, but knowing there was no point in arguing):
"And I suppose I don't have a choice in that either?"
"Did you find this chapter engaging or a bit slow? 🤔 Let me know!"
