The rest of the week was hectic due to Bella constantly ringing and Renee showing up at Charlie's house begging him to talk to Millie to change her mind about pressing charges - it didn't work.
Millie met up with a lawyer to discuss everything, how long she might get in prison - the outcomes etc and she was happy with it. "Dad, I had no choice - she couldn't keep assaulting me, stalking the family and she tried to kill me! The only reason why I didn't do it for long is for you but that was my last straw." Millie argued with her dad in her kitchen.
"You could've told me." Charlie said making her scoff - " and what? You try to convince me not to? I had to move out because of her and you carried on letting her get away with it." Millie countered. "She needs to be taught she can't get away with it anymore. I'm not dropping the charges." she added.
"She's your sister." Charlie said, "Who has done everything and anything to try and sleep with my fiancé, tired to kill me and stalked my family. Yeah I'll totally do it." Millie said sarcastically. "When are you going to realize you can't help her, that she needs help?" Millie asked.
"She needs her parents." Charlie said, making Millie tear up - "and I don't? Why, because I'm not crazy? Because I can tell right from wrong? Because I'm getting married and going to have a stable job - you think I don't need you?" Millie asked and it broke Charlie's heart hearing her voice crack.
"If that's how you feel then you know where the door is." Millie added when she saw him just look at her, when he left she broke down knowing he is trying to do right but it will always hurt her knowing he tires to see the good in Bella even when she's in the wrong.
Noah went home to find her in her tracksuit watching TV - he could tell she has been crying. "Love, what's wrong?" he asked dropping everything and went over to her where she told him everything that the lawyer said, what her dad said and how it ended - she ended up falling asleep.
A few hours later - she had woken up and Noah was watching TV next to her when she sat up. "Hey, how you feeling?" he asked pausing the show he was watching and looked at her. "I've been better." Millie answered and Noah got up went to the kitchen and came back with some pasta Esme had brought round.
"Thank you. On the bright side though - our wedding won't be disturb by her." Millie said smiling a little eating some pasta. "Don't worry about Charlie, he'll come round." Noah said rubbing her knee, "Yeah? When?" Millie asked but he didn't have an answer for her. "He should've supported me when I rang the police but instead told me I need to think about dropping it." Millie scoffed.
"She needs her parents? Bullshit." Millie mumbled and he just let her vent knowing she needs to, "How's Kaiden doing anyway? I haven't spoken to him." she asked getting off the topic of Bella and Charlie.
"Fitting in, he turned Jessica down at school and he kissed them in front of everyone making sure she felt embarrassed." Noah laughed, "Like she tried with Edward?" Millie asked cracking a smile. "Yeah, she didn't like you. Did she?" Noah asked remembering the stories she told him.
"Oh no, she hated me. I hated her as well. Two faced bitch." Millie said getting the glass of water from the table, when the house phone rang. "Hello? Yeah here she is." Noah said handing her the phone, she frowned taking it from him.
"Hello? You did? Why?" Millie asked her dad over the phone, "Thank you, really." she said when he told her that he had wrote down this statement basically backing up what Millie had said along with the Cullens.
"Yeah, love you to dad. Night." she hung up the phone and told Noah what he said when the phone rang again and it was her lawyer - turns out they can get moving on getting this to court after Charlie rang him.
Renee is still angry that Millie is doing this and tried to get Bella out of jail but given the evidence - Bella wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. The rest of the evening they watched Netflix and enjoyed their time together when Paul joined them and Millie cooked some food for them whilst Noah went out to hunt.
"Here, sorry if I can't cook like Emily." Millie said smiling handing him a plate as they sit at the dining table, with some wine and chatted until Noah came back and joined them - they laughed, smiled and Paul loved it which the other two noticed but didn't say anything so they didn't want to ruin the night.
Millie and Noah told him what is happening with Bella - "We need to watch Jacob - he's been in love with her since they was children." Millie said, "And he doesn't stop talking about her, and when he shifts we can literally see everything. We fought because he thinks having two imprints is weird but yet he loves her." Paul shivered.
"Let's hope he doesn't try and team up with Renee to get her out of prison, but won't he be kicked out the pack or what would happen?" Noah asked, and Paul basically gave them the run down on how it works if someone betrays them and their secret.
"Let's also hope he listens to Billy or Sam." Millie said shrugging and they changed the subject when Millie cleaned up and she saw Paul and Noah on the sofa sitting closely watching something she smiled and finished what she was doing and went over to them when Noah put her in the middle of them and she tired to hide her blush but failed - she eventually put her head on Noah's shoulder and her legs on Paul falling asleep again.
