S1, Ep 1) The Mortal Cup

-Brooklyn at night-

A brown haired man stands outside next to a shop. An asian business man stops behind him and looks around. He appears on the security camera but the brown haired man not. In his 20's the young man follows the business man down the walk way. As the asian man glances back the young man disappears, he continues his walk.
Above a young woman with a short platinum blond wig spotted him from a platform.
She takes out a glowing cristal and runs it over her forearm, causing a firery shaped tattoo to appear. With a running start she lands on a rooftop, from which she continues to track the asian business man below. He bums into a man with a training jacket, his eyes turn blue and the asian man changes his appearence to look like the other.
The woman continues to stalk him from the rooftop.
With a smirk the man casually walks to a promenade lead by hanging lights.
Up above a auburn girl, in her 20's wearing all black, is standing on a hanging platform watching the man coming closer. He changes his demeanor again, when he runs into a young woman, wearing a pink dress.
The brown haired man and the platin blond haired woman join the auburn woman.
All three do a flip off the elevated platform, land on the ground and continuing following the shapeshifter through the promenade.
They keep following the shapeshifter to the Pandemonium, flashing the word "demon" in it.
The auburn girl bumps past a brown haired girl.

"Hey, can you watch where you're going?"
the brown haird girl says to her.

With a stunned look she turns back and walks uncomfortably close to her and asks
"You can see me?"

-Eight hours earlier-

A student carries a portfolio with her and walks infront of a building, the Brooklyn Academy of Art. She hesitates a bit before walking inside, saying to herself "You got this."
She pauses at the door to a asembly hall.
The young girl walks infront of a table, where three faculty members sat.
The brown haired girl gives them a soft smile and opens her portfolio.

"Hi. I'm Josie Fray."

She slides out an exquisite sketch of an ocean landscape. One of the facutly members says
"This landscape is very... decorative."

"Well, I wasn't really going for decorative, exactly." Josie says

"What are those?" a faculty member asks about her other sketches

"Oh, those. Nothing, just, um... some ideas for a graphic novel I'm drawing with a friend.
Really, it's just there by mistake."

"The Brooklyn Academy of Art doesn't believe in mistakes."

-At a coffee shop-

Later she walks into a coffee shop and sees her best friend Penelope.

"Give me the professors' names and I... I will end them." Penelope says trying to light up her best friends mood

"You know, with... a scathing e-mail to the dean."

"Don't bother." she sits down opposite from her and gives her hands Penelope an acceptance letter from the Academy.

"What? Sad face? Really?" she smiles brightly

Josie just laughs at her

"Well played, well played." Penelope says giving her a fist bump

"Thank you. You know it's weird. They kind of liked my assigned work, but they flipped out over the drawings for out graphic novel."

Penelope chuckles "You're welcome."
