The first time you met Gyomei was when you were struck by his towering presence and the air of calm strength that surrounded him. It was a rainy afternoon, and you were a lost child, seeking shelter in the woods, far from home and scared. Through the heavy patter of raindrops and the rustle of leaves, a deep voice had reached out to you, guiding you to safety.

"Do not worry child. I am a good person." he said. The deep soothing voice of his made you have nostalgia, like when your late father was talking to you.

Years had passed since that day, but the memory remained vivid. Gyomei had taken you under his wing, becoming more than just a guardian. He became the father figure you had lost, a constant source of strength and wisdom. You trained under his guidance, learning not only the breathing styles of the Demon Slayer Corps but also the values of compassion, discipline and inner peace.

One morning, you found yourself sparring with Gyomei in the backyard of his estate that you now lived in. His movements were graceful despite his size, and he effortlessly blocked your attacks, guiding you with gentle corrections. His blind eyes seemed to see more than anyone else's; they saw into your heart and soul.

"Focus on your breathing." he advised, his voice having the familiar soothing balm. "Let the rhythm guide your movements."

You nodded, trying to center yourself. Gyomei's patience was endless, his belief in you unwavering. He had a way of making you feel like you could conquer any challenge, no matter how hard it seemed.

After training, you both sat together on the engawa, the silence between you both filled with unspoken understanding. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow over the serene landscape.

"Gyomei-san, how do you remain so calm, even in the face of danger?" you asked, breaking the silence.

He smiled, a comforting sight. "Inner peace is a journey, not a destination. It comes from our understanding that our strength lies not just in our physical abilities but in our spirit and our compassion for others. It is through helping and protecting those in need that we find our true selves." he said while rattling his beads.

You pondered on his words, feeling the weight of their truth. Gyomei's life was a testament to his beliefs. Despite having his own losses and the hardships he faced, he had dedicated himself to protect others, becoming a true pillar of strength and hope.

When you passed the Final Selection, Gyomei was proud and patted your head, giving you a hairclip that Mitsuri helped to choose because of his eyesight.

One evening, your crow told you to assist Gyomei for a mission. Your crow took both of you to a remote village plagued with a lot of demons. The fear and despair of the villagers were noticeable, but Gyomei's presence brought an immediate sense of relief. You both decided to patrol around the village, waiting for nighttime to come.

Soon after all the villagers went back to their houses, you saw the area full of demons. Both of you fought side by side, and you realised just how much you had grown under his guidance. His teachings echoed in your head, steadying your hand and strengthening your resolve.

The battle was quite fierce, but together, you emerged victorious. The villagers showered you both with gratitude, but you knew that the true victory lay in the lessons you had learned from Gyomei.

When you guys got back to the headquarters, you both immediately went to the Butterfly Mansion to get your wounds treated. As Shinobu tended to your wounds, Gyomei sat beside you, his large hand resting reassuringly on your shoulder. "You fought well today." he said. "Remember, it is not the absence of fear but the mastery of it that makes a true warrior."

You looked up at him, the man who had became not only your mentor, but a father figure to you. "Thank you, Gyomei-san, for everything. I wouldn't be here without you."

He shook his head, a gentle smile on his lips. "You have always had the strength within you. I merely helped you see it."

As you both got home, night fell. The Stone Estate was bathed in soft glow of lanterns, you felt a profound sense of gratitude. Gyomei had given you more than just training; he had given you a sense of purpose and belonging. Under his unwavering guidance, you had found not only a mentor but a father figure who had taught you the true meaning of strength and compassion.
