Kaitlyn's POV

Seeing my best friend fall for someone who cheated on her doesn't feel good. As much as I want her to be happy, I want her to be with someone loyal. I know they have a child together, but that doesn't mean they have to be together. Co-parenting exists for a reason.

"Are you alright?" Val asked, holding hands with Avery.

"Yeah, I'm just thinking about something," I said.

I'm thinking about you.

Val nodded and got three tickets to the movie "The Beekeeper". I ordered a bucket of popcorn. Going into the theater, I saw how close Avery and Val were.

I need to talk with Avery.

We got seats toward the front of the theater. Val sat in the middle of Avery and me. Taking my bag off, I grabbed my Root Beer and started drinking it. I looked over and saw Avery and Val making out.

I guess I'm the third wheel. Ouch.

I looked at the movie. For some reason, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I watched the movie until it was over. Val was asleep when the movie ended. I was going to wake her up, but Avery insisted I let her sleep.

I'm glad you care for Val.

"So, what are your intentions?" I asked Avery as she put Val in the car.

"I mean, Val and I agreed we are friends with benefits. I'll be anything she wants me to be. But for now, I'm okay with us getting together every once in a while," Avery said.

"Listen, if you hurt Val in any way, shape, or form, I promise you it's not going to look so good for you. You understand me?" I said, holding Avery by the back of her neck.

Avery nodded her head. Her face had turned red, along with the tip of her ears. I got in the driver's seat and drove off.

Still got it.

Valeria's POV

"Oh my fucking god," I said as I walked into my house.

Someone broke into my house and completely trashed the place. All of the furniture was flipped and some were missing. I went into Alex's room and saw all of his clothes and toys on the floor.

My eyes watered at the sight of my baby's room. Who would do this to me? Who would do this to us?

I walked into my room and saw that it looked similar to Alex's. My clothes were scattered. Some of my jewelry were nowhere to be found. I let the tears fall from my eyes.

I was torn between calling the police and calling my parents. In the end, I called neither.

"G-gio, the house. Someone b-broke in," I said as I started bawling my eyes out.

"I'm on my way," said Gio.

Giovanni's POV

Someone's getting killed.

I looked around, thinking this could've been avoided somehow. It's quite obvious that someone has it out for Val or even me. But why would they do this to Val if they were out to get me?

"Listen, you and Alex can stay with me if that's what you want. Or you can stay with Kaitlyn or your mom, but I promise when you guys come back, your house will be cleaned," I told Val.

"It's okay; I'll stay with a friend. Alex can stay with you for a little?" Sue said as a suggestion.

I nodded. "That'll be good. I'll pick Alex up from your mom's house so he can stay with me for the night. Sounds good?" I questioned.

"Yeah, that's good. Well, I'm going to see if any other things are missing besides my jewelry and some of Alex's toys," Val said.

Why would someone want to steal a kid's toys? It's obvious that this person has a kid or is somewhat of a kid. But who could it be?

I took a look around Val's room and noticed a little note on the dresser. I read it and instantly thought of someone. Although this was a minor accident, it still happened.

Karma's a bitch and it starts with an M.

"Val, come look at this note," I said.

Val came over and took the note. Her face instantly dropped. She crumbled the paper up, throwing it somewhere. I could tell she was deep in thought because she started tapping.

"Val, snap out of it," I said, waving my hand to her face.

She looked at me and smiled. I looked at her as if she was crazy. Her eyes started to water with tears threatening to fall. She shook her head and paced back and forth.

"Life is good right now, Gio. My house just got broken into, and my ex-girlfriend, who is the other mother to my son, cheated on me. I guess this is what I get. I blame this on you, Giovanni. We could've been happy together. That one mistake you made cost us our whole relationship. Am I right or wrong?" She asked, wiping her eyes.

"You're right, Val. But I was so hurt by the fact that he kissed you. I thought you were kissing him back, and I let my anger get the best of me. It was very wrong of me to do that and I'm sorry. I don't know how many times I have to say it for you to forgive me," I sighed.

"Giovanni, wake the fuck up! Own up to your shit. You cheated, and you know it was wrong. I'm done with the conversation. Call me if you need me," Val said, walking out in tears.

Didn't I just say-

She left me standing there in guilt. I know I was the reason it ended, but that doesn't give her the right to throw it in my face every chance she gets.

I went to Alex's room and started cleaning up since his room was much smaller. I started by picking up his toys and shoes. Placing them in the designated areas, I started picking up his clothes.

This might take a while.

"Finally," I said, dropping onto the couch.

After almost three hours, I had the whole house cleaned. Although some of Val's things were missing, like her vibrator and other toys, I managed to get my hands on one similar to those that were missing.

They should be coming in the mail within a week or two. I want to see Val's reaction when she gets them. But for now, I think it's time for a quick nap.

Who do you guys think the home invader is? Bye!
