Chapter 10:

229 5 5

(A/N): It's the 10th chapter, so it's question time! Who's your favorite out of all of the knights in the series. I think it's pretty obvious who mine is lol

~On with the story~

"Absolutely not!"

(Y/N) had asked the king to allow Tiff to sing a duet with her for her next show. Clearly their conversation wasn't going well.

"I want to do a slower piece, and I think it would be fun to have a citizen of Dreamland to perform with me. Can't you just-"

"Pick another song or get lost!" He was losing his temper again. Thankfully, Escargoon stepped in to keep the king from bashing her face in.

"His majesty's right; pick a solo song or stay out of the studio!"

With that, the girl was shoved out of the dungeon. A wrench had been thrown into her plans; she needed another song and fast. There were so many to choose from: her phone was full of slow songs, but she didn't want to choose one that didn't suit her style.

One more problem to add to the list...

~Troublemakers~

A new show concept was presented to the king and was approved. A good thing, too, as there were so many delinquent acts happening in Cappy Town. Everything from vandalism to petty theft. (Y/N) felt bad for Chief Bookem. He was already close to being fired, but maybe all of this crime will be worth it.

(Y/N) was using the armory as a fitness center as she beat up a training dummy. Since Meta Knight was busy, he couldn't spar with her, otherwise she would be using that as a form of exercise.

It was a bit lonely for her when he wasn't able to spend time with her. The last time they slept in the same bed was three days ago. Her knight was found in her room by a Waddle Dee guard and was forced to go back to his quarters, presumably because the king still wanted to pursue her.

She missed Meta Knight, plain and simple.

Apparently she had been punching harder than she thought, because the dummy slid across the floor before slamming into the wall with a loud smack. It landed on the stone floor as water leaked out of the base of it.

Well, shit.

It was only when she went to pick it up that she realized she was crying; thick streams of tears flowed down her face. She had a feeling that it was because of her being apart from the man she loved, but it could also be that she wasn't entirely over the fact that she died on Earth. The adrenaline rush overrode the pure depression she had fallen into. But that feeling was gone; (Y/N) collapsed onto her knees and sobbed silently.

It's all so much...

The door to the armory opened, but she stayed in that position. Her sobs had faded into quiet sniffles. Whoever opened the door walked inside, their footsteps echoing off the walls of the room. They were getting closer, and she desperately wanted it to be Meta Knight, but she knew how his presence felt by now, and it wasn't him.

"Hey, is everything okay? I heard a loud crash."

Tiff.

(Y/N) slowly got to her feet and faced the young girl. "Oh, I just got too aggressive when I was beating up the training dummy, that's all." She tried to laugh it off, but her tear streaks were very visible on her face. Tiff had a feeling that she knew what happened.

"There's no need to cry. I'm sure we can fix it. But first, let's get some fresh air, okay?" The young girl grabbed her arm and lead her out of the armory.

~Hard feelings~

Despite (Y/N)'s constant protests, Tiff was determined to find out what was going on with her. The woman didn't want to use her as a therapist; it wasn't fair for her to go through that at such a young age. However, Tiff's stubbornness prevailed, and with the help of her mother and a box of tissues, she finally was able to get answers.
