"You'll see my face in every place
But you can't catch me now
Through wading grass, the months will pass
You'll feel it all around
I'm here, I'm there, I'm everywhere
But you can't catch me now"

Cadell dropped out of Stanford after freshman year to go pro. She disappeared like a ghost.

Art didn't see or hear from her again. She had left his life completely-- gone, with the only reminders of her being his guilt tinted memories.

Art, 2008

"Child prodigy Cadell Hwang winning Atlanta Open, 2008. She really did live up to the expectations set for her since she was young..."

"Art."

"Her career really did kick off the moment she left Stanford to pursue her dreams, and I've got to say, it was the right decision to make."

"ART."

"Yeah?"

Tashi turned off the TV, moving in front to glare at him.

"What's been up with you these days?"

He shrugged, "nothing."

"You've got to get yourself together. You're going pro next year as well, you have to focus."

He nodded, swallowing, "okay."

...

Cadell, 2011

"Cadell!"

"Cadell, give us some pictures!"

"Cadell, please sign this!"

"What are your thoughts on beating Anna Mueler?"

She gave them a pretty smile, waving, following her bodyguards into her hotel. That was all it took. That was all she really needed. A pretty face and the ability to hit a ball with a racket to become world known.

"Art Donaldson winning Atlanta open 2011. He really did live up to the expectations set for him, with the famous Tashi Duncan as his new coach..."

Cadell popped a pill of Alprazolam into her mouth, swallowing it dry. The absence of the man of screen took more of a toll than she had anticipated.

"His career really did kick off the moment he graduated Stanford and started to pursue his dreams, and I've got to say, he is doing very well."

Cadell couldn't bear it anymore. It was her choice– so why did she feel so conflicted?

The TV turned off. Her head swiveled around to see the source of the disruption to see Alex.

"Are you watching him again?"

"He just... popped up." Alex looked skeptical. "You know how it is. He's everywhere. On t-shirts, on posters..."

Alex nodded slowly, "you still love me right?"

"Of course."
