AD 2023, July 10th, summertime, Shuangqing City.

High temperatures, outdoor temperatures easily reach highs of 40 degrees and more.

Li Daoxuan turned off the computer, shook his head, rubbed his temples vigorously, then slumped back and collapsed into a foetal position on his chair.

His work was finally done! It was also completely dark outside.

It was his birthday today, and he had originally intended to take time off to celebrate, but he had his plans swept aside by the mere ruthless phrase, "the project must be completed and handed in within today." Thus this was how Li Daoxuan was made to work overtime.

He often pondered to himself: Having to live a life like this; could he ever truly be happy?

He stayed still, choosing to lay sprawled in his seat for a while, then after went and crawled out of his chair; albeit doing so gingerly, and walked himself to the door.

By the doorframe was an enormous delivery package. It was an item that was delivered by a postman earlier in the afternoon. The box was elusive yet very plain, and it contained nothing other than a simple "happy birthday" which was legibly displayed on the side of the package.

He assumed it was a gift from one of his friends. Though he was not sure of who sent it out of all his friends. And so after some consideration, he concluded that because of the fact that since he had such a small social circle, there was no one more probable than his one and only best friend Cai Xinzi. After all, who else would bother with paying him such careful thought?

He had no time at all during the day. Having been so busy during the day, he had no time at all to open the package. Until now, that is. It was finally time to see what the hell this box contained.

This express package was the size of a refrigerator. The unpacking had caused him no small amount of frustration. There was a massive containment unit, it was made with glass, with its length being about two metres in length, and a metre long in both height and width. Once he had placed it in the ground, it was now possible to fully examine the contents within this glass box. The object and its entirety was a diorama that was covered in a glass casing. Once you peer inside, it will be apparent that there was a small replica of a city.
