Back aches. It hurt with a wavering intensity. A balloon in his stomach. He couldn't breathe.

There was a group of people sitting by the table. An old lady sipped a cup of tea.

We have this palace in the sky that looked like a paradise because it was called Campbell Valley. The current world is in a state of desolation, of dilapidation, and everything looks incredibly terrible and awful. And then Campbell Valley descended upon the world, and starting from there, the world.Cloned itself through fragmentation in mitosis, which is absolute pseudoscience and hogwash, but this is how it works anyways. And then the power of magic somehow plays into this tale. And then the world expanded and became. The nature reserve as it is now.

So take the copy of the version stuck in the clouds and then boom, drop it down on the ground. And how does this happen? Miracles. We get a flower that grows up from the ground, reaches into the sky and sends a message to pull the place down. Yes, the flower is a letter to the sky.

OOC

There was a flower growing, reaching towards the sky. Its stem was expanding. It was growing very slowly. The message would take years to finally reach the sky. Slowly growing, every cell underwent mitosis. Slow replication. Millions of cells, each taking hours to clone themselves, growing to full size, and finally creating more versions of itself. Still, it was still reaching for the sky. It's towering stem, made of cellulose, never seemed to snap. It was a plant the width of a glue stick. Still growing.

If any living witness were to visit such a flower- they'd surely realise what

He was trying to pull out his gastronomic feeding tube. He had a thin nasogastric tube inserted into his nose that led directly down his oesophagus and into his stomach chamber. The tube was about the length of half his body and it was very difficult to pull out. Pulling it out.Give a burning sensation as if his very own veins were about to be extracted from his body. The jerky movements of his fingers did little to aid him either.

"Hah.. ha. No- this won't do," he panted from stinging pain that emerged from the very depths of his inner cavity. "I don't want to feel such a sensation a second time." The tube was inserted back into its original position. Instantly, the sour aching halved.

OOC

Instead of trying to extract the tube from his nose, he decided to nap.

He closed his eyes. His tired eyes sealed themselves shut. This would not be considered a waste of time. He could use this time as a moment to do some cognitive reframing. This was not anything close to failure. The next course of action could be considered once he gave himself sufficient rest.

The sudden memory struck him. He saw himself as a child. He was tiny. The grass was tall.

If I could only sleep once again. If only I could bask in the warmth of sunlight for a moment longer.

It was a one time miracle. If only such an oasis were truly a part of this world.

OOC

I am a person of the modern world. I sat upon the sunlight grass of Campbell Valley. I had walked myself up this hill that I was now situated on.

"AHAHA! OHOHO!" Shrieking laughter he was making at the top of his lungs. "I'm experiencing a lucid dream!"

August was jumping up and down. Each leap had the sensation of walking on the moon. The world around him was currently empty.

OOC

"Ah?"

"Yes yes, you hear me." The middle aged man made a kind gesture toward him. He seemed to radiate warmth from his person. "It's your choice. After all, you are a special participant in our study."
