Mully keeps trying to aim at Ryu but Ryu moves too fast for Mully to shoot at it in time. Mully kept dodging and backpedalling as Ryu's relentless assault continued. The kids' screams grew louder, their fear palpable. Mully's heart pounded as he struggled to find an opening. Ryu's attacks were fast and precise, leaving Mully with little room to counter.
"Come on, think, think!" Mully muttered to himself, narrowly avoiding another powerful kick. He knew he needed to outsmart Ryu, but the fighter's speed and skill were overwhelming. Mully ducked under a spinning kick and managed to fire a shot, but Ryu deflected it with a swift hand movement.
Mully then accidentally tripped on his feet and fell on his back. Ryu took that chance to make a jump and was about to land a fiery fist but something pushed him off before the fist even touched Mully. Gaege arrived just in time and shot Ryu in the back. The Street Fighter character stumbled forward, momentarily stunned by the unexpected attack.
Ryu was about to get up but Gaege quickly shot at Ryu's feet and as Gaege walked towards him, his target went up to the upper part of Ryu's body. Gaege stopped shooting when it reached Ryu's collarbone. Gaege walked to Ryu's head slowly disintegrating and squatting near it. "I love you, Ryu... but I'm not siding with a bad guy," Gaege said as he took out the small cannon and shot right at it.
"Wow. I thought you really loved him." Both Gaege and Mully turned to see Josh standing there.
"Didn't think we'd gonna see you again," Mully said as Josh came grouping to the duo. Josh asked for two of the small cannons so Mully and Gaege gave it to him and fastened them on both of his forearms.
"I wanna change and had to prove to myself and to the world that I could do this without cheating," Josh said after tightening it.
"Wait, you cheated?" Gaege asked and Mully was about to ask too but Josh interrupted him.
"Moving on!" Josh yells and then blasts at two nearby Ostrichs from Joust who are chasing a lady with a stroller. "So, what's the plan now and where's Eddie and the President?" Josh asked. Mully suggested just going running and blasting in group to explain everything to Josh.
Eddie, Grant and Toad re-pixelate and slowly open their eyes to find themselves in a huge warehouse. It's smoky and dark. In front of them, they see a metal barrel with OIL written on it. "Toad, where are we?" Eddie asked as they walked passed the barrel.
"I don't know, but I'm scared," Toad said as they kept walking. As they walk they hear loud deafening pounding and last three slow stomping, light starts to illuminate metal ramps and scaffolding that go way up. Eddie and Grant stumble a bit when the metal ramps move to slightly askew.
Eddie, Grant and Toad look up. At the top of the scaffolding, peering over the edge, stepping out of the shadow, is that iconic giant character.
"Donkey Kong," Eddie said, recognizing the kid.
"The one you sucked at," Grant said.
"Yeah," Eddie said and then he looked over at the other top scaffolding where a princess should be, to see a soldier, a Korean person in some traditional clothing and Gabby. "Gabby!!!"
"Eddie!!!" Eddie's heart leapt with relief at the sight of Gabby, but his joy was short-lived as DK threw a barrel to the oil and lit it up, startled three of them and stepped away from it. Toad terribly shaking and a pool forming in between Toad's feet.
The condition of New York City is getting critical with characters all over the streets AND buildings. Gaege, Mully and Josh blasted at every character as they could but soon they got crowded. "It's so many!!!" Gaege screams as he gets tired.
