Walter
"Now I want you to get up and chose one of these books here"
We were in our literature class. Henry and I sat in the last row next to each other, our fingers intertwined under the table like we've been doing in all the classes. It was the most amazing feeling having him hold my hand even though we were hiding it. It didn't even matter to me that we had to hide it because I knew Henry was always here and it also didn't feel like hiding. Holding hands in class wasn't really hiding. It felt normal and like some reassurance that he is here.
But now we had to let go of each other's hand to take one of these books, "All these books are from the late 1800s and the early 1900s" She explained while everyone chose one of the laid out books, "Those of you who have picked the same book are gonna form a group and then I want you to read and reflect–"
Then Wille entered the room, starting to talk with the teacher. I took one of the books. I didn't really care which one because I was sure I would barely read it anyways, so I took the one the cover looked the best and sat back on my desk.
"Which one did you choose?" Henry asked as he sat down again.
"This one" I showed him my book.
"I have a different one." He said, showing me his book, "I took the shortest."
I huffed in disbelief, shaking my head, "Of course you did."
My group consisted of Alice, Marie and Alexander. We were sitting on a table in the study area at the library, at the table next to us were Henry with Wille, Simon and Sara. I could feel him staring at me several times and did the same.
"How is the author's name?" Henry turned around to me.
"Karin Boye" I told him.
"How is it spelled?"
"It's not that difficult." I leaned over to him, "Just be a bit creative"
"It's spelled with a 'y'." Wille joined our conversation, "It's on the cover." He pointed to the book in front of him with his pen. That made me chuckle.
Then I turned back again, pulling my phone out and looking for some information for our own presentation and noting things down in my notebook.
After some time I could see Henry leaving from his table, walking into the cafeteria. I followed him with my eyes and opened my messages as soon as he left. I totally forgot to ask Maddie about the cake I wanted to make for Henry's birthday.
Maddie

"Wanna go directly to dinner?" Henry asked when most students, including the one of each of our groups, have left the study area.
"Is it that late already?" I looked at him a bit shocked.
"Yeah, it's almost 7"
"Oh shit, dinner already started" I packed my things together hurriedly. Then I walked along the hallway to the lockers, to put our school books away before we continued going to the dining room.
