The sunlight cast its warm embrace all over Yukikuni, the silver leaves of Wispshade gently swaying with the winds, amongst the gentle chirping of birds, Alexiel released a sigh as a smile made its way to her face, strong arms wrapping around her from behind. "Missed me?" he asked, placing a gentle kiss on her shoulder.
She turned to face him, the cool railing pressing into her back. His hands bracketed her, and she placed her palm against his chest. "Oh, not at all, Whisker kept me company and entertained me, more than you do," she teased.
"More than I do?" he asked, as he pulled her closer, their breaths mingling, "you sure about that, Alexi?"
"Yes, I am, but perhaps you can show me... how this is not true," she said, her golden eyes staring into his silver orbs.
The sun dipped lower on the horizon, casting long shadows across the rooftop. Alexiel's heartbeat echoed in her ears, and she wondered if Kaito could hear it too. His silver eyes held a promise—one that went beyond mere entertainment.
He leaned in, his breath warm against her skin. "Perhaps," he murmured, "I can show you how I've missed you."
His lips brushed hers, a gentle exploration that ignited a spark deep within her. The world around them blurred, and for a moment, there was only the taste of him.
But then, a soft rustle interrupted their stolen intimacy. Whisker, the chibi dragon, fluttered its wings, its tiny form hovering near Alexiel's shoulder. It chirped, as if urging them to continue, blissfully unaware of the tension between them.
Kaito pulled back, his gaze lingering on Alexiel's lips. "Whisker has impeccable timing," he said, his voice husky. "Perhaps it's a sign."
Alexiel's laughter bubbled forth, a mix of nerves and desire. "Or maybe it's just a nosy dragon."
He chuckled, his fingers tracing patterns on her arm. "Either way, Alexi, I promise to be more entertaining than Whisker. Starting now."
And with that, he kissed her again—a promise sealed in the golden light of Yukikuni, where time seemed to stretch, and the past eleven lives faded into insignificance. The rooftop became their sanctuary, and as the sun dipped below the mountains, they wove their own story—one that defied curses and embraced the magic of a new beginning.
Whisker fluttered its wings, as if approving, and Alexiel surrendered to the kiss, knowing that this time, it was different. This time, she wasn't in a loop. This time, Kaito was there, and together, she will not mind if she will ever go through another loop.
As they parted apart, the hurt, pain, sadness and anger that was once held amongst them was replaced with a love, adoration, and happiness.
This time the smiles was real; the kiss was real and so was the feelings.
