So just this week I found out that I weigh over 300 pounds. I'm only 5 pounds heavier but the moment my brother and I saw what was on the scale I knew I had to do this. We went for a walk and walked it out, deciding that we were both going on a diet.
But this isn't just ANY diet. It is a 21 day cleanse added with some workouts. I've done it once and I can do it again. That means I'm cutting out sugars (except for fruit obviously), starches, bread, eggs, pasta, junk food, soda and any other food that isn't fruits, vegetables and lean proteins. And we won't be eating our 'normal' foods until after 21 days. Hopefully by then I'll have lost 100 pounds...
Im probably exaggerating a little on 100 pounds but still, it could happen.
My brother isn't overweight, but he does have diabetes. Hopefully he will be able to be safe doing this. But not only that but maybe this is good for his diabetes. In fact he and I wonders if by helping him get healthier maybe we can even find a cure for his diabetes, I know I know there is no KNOWN cure at least not yet. Obviously the day a cure is found is the same day pigs fly. But we are going to try... by first becoming healthier.
The only time my brother gets to have anything 'sugary,' anything with more sugar than fruit is if it's an emergency.
So both of us are going to try and be healthier... I'm getting healthier to lose weight (and change lifestyles) and my brother is getting healthier to manage, maintain and possibly even cure his diabetes. It won't be impossible, just hard.
Before we did this we ordered one last favorite meal before going to something that's not only healthy but it can be delicious too. Healthy food is tasty too you know. We ordered Arby's.
Anyway this book will not only be keeping track of our progress but it'll also hopefully inspire other people to lose weight too. I'll even take pictures of our meals to show we are being serious.
So currently I'm 305 pounds. Let's get to 200 or closest.
