"EDA! EDA! EDAAA!" Amity and Viney screeched together as they pounded upon the owl house door, Hooty screaming in terror as he dodged their fists.

"WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU WANT?!" The owl lady swung the door open, her eyes looking even more sunken and exhausted than usual, lips pulled back in a fearsome snarl. Viney flinched back at the sight of the owl lady, Amity however could not find fear in herself.

"We know where Luz is." Amity stated breathlessly, the snarl instantly falling from Eda's face.

"Luz?!" King appeared from behind the owl lady, leaping with ease onto Viney's shoulder earning him a startled yelp from the brunette. "Onward! Take me to my boo boo buddy!" King demanded yanking on Viney's fish hook earring as if to steer her, Eda ignored the demon as she retreated quickly into the house to grab her staff. She reappeared just as quickly, this time Amity saw the determination blazing in her eyes.
"Show me where she is, kid." Amity nodded, quickly turning on her heel to lead the way, the odd group following on the witcling's heel.

Eda hummed as she twisted Luz's head about in her hands examining her carefully, the canine's giant head dwarfing the witch's hands. Amity Viney and King sat a few feet away watching quietly, unwilling to break the woman's concentration in fear of what would happen.

"This shouldn't be happening yet.. I don't understand what could've set this off." Eda mumbled to herself, Luz simply thumping her tail happily at all the attention. The witch turned her golden eyes on Viney, regarding the older teen with a nodd. "You were the one that talked to her last, is there anything you can tell us?" Amity and King turned to face Viney as well, all eyes now on her the brunette shifted nervously.

"Well, I met her out in the forest when she tripped and hurt her leg, she seemed like she was running from something but she didn't really want to talk about it so I didn't push." Viney explained with a shrug, before creasing her brows in deeper thought. "We were only going to stay out in the forest until after school was over but then we found this house and got distracted exploring, by the time we realized it was dark out we also realized Luz couldn't turn back into a human." Viney's eyes came to rest on Luz, who met her eyes with a curious head tilt.

"We didn't want to risk going through town and someone attacking Luz so we were just going to wait out the night and see if it was better in the morning, we went to bed and Luz was acting normal just stuck in her wolf form and then.." Viney trailed off, eyes casting towards some claw marks slashed into the wall. Amity followed the older witch's eyes, gulping as she realized they were indeed fresh marks put into the old house's walls. "When I woke up it was like she was in and out, sometimes she was Luz sometimes she was a wolf, I couldn't get enough out of her to find out where to find you. She kept trying to say something about a legend and she needed to tell you." Viney's eyes came back to Eda as she shot an apologetic look towards the owl lady, who quickly waved off the gesture.

"It just kept getting worse from there, less and less Luz and more wolf, the last thing I got out of her was Amity and I knew where to find her at least." Amity smiled softly, the fond feeling in her heart melting over her.

Luz's ears perked up at the last part, tearing her head from Eda's hands and her dark unseeing eyes coming to rest on Amity. The green haired witch stiffened as the canine focused on her, the group around her tensing all the same.

"A.. Amity." The deep voice growled, just as before Luz's voice was twisted and distorted to resemble more of a growl than speech. Eda hummed in thought as she watched the exchange, brows creased in thought.

"The day she disappeared she had attempted to protect you, Amity. But even more.. it was a full moon. " The owl lady murmured slowly, as if puzzling together something in her mind that only she could understand. Amity shifted through all the facts, as if searching her mind for an answer. 'She mentioned something about a legend.' Viney's words echoed in her mind.
