Faint light was making his base just a bit clearer. The sun was back in the sky. Before leaving, the human looked around his base with a sense of nostalgia, knowing well he wouldn't come back soon. He packed some food supplies on his pouch, and got out of the Healbloom Field, not before collecting some megacures for the trip.
He went towards the bloodtree, and squeezed some bloodflowers into a small wooden jar; it may come in handy to bribe any vampires that got on his way.
As he got past the Music Plains, he rested on the canopy of Wise Nature.
☘️ "Greetings young man, it's always a pleasure to see that you are alive"
🗣️ "Morning Wise. Sorry for what happened last night"
☘️ "Don't worry about it, young man, for scratches come and go, it's not worth getting mad for; anger only causes damage to one's soul"
🗣️ "Thank you Wise, and now is when I need your wisdom the most: I need a new base, the one on the Healbloom Field got spotted"
☘️ "Meditate this desicion more thoroughly. Making a desicion based on a single event leads to unnatural consequences. Remember: the Healbloom Field's over-natural inhibition can't be found elsewhere"
🗣️ "I know, but I don't think I have a choice. A vampire tried to kidnap me and will probably try to make an ambush any moment now that she got time to prepare"
☘️ "Very well, you could look for a new one on the bloodtree, or maybe next to the Wishing Path"
🗣️ "The bloodtree? But that's where vampires like to hang at night! How can that one be a good base?"
☘️ "A valid point, but you must understand the situation on its entirety: there's a dark cave below the bloodtree, hidden in plain sight. What best hiding spot than on the one place where no one would think of looking: right at the enemy's shadow"
🗣️ "I guess that one could work. But before I get there, I'll get some more resources, I'm already out of magmaleaves"
☘️ "Very well young man, I wish you the best of luck"He began his journey by going around the goblin town in the Music Plains. He saw the door he burned last night, being rebuilt by the goblins. He felt remorse, but it had to be that way; his sanity can't handle more crazy blood moon nights.
After departing from the Music Plains, the vegetation grew bigger and bigger: trees we reaching hundreds of meters high, and even grass blades were as tall as a person. He had entered the Titanic Hollow.
He collected some Anti-shrooms there, but just afterwards, a giant butterfly triggered a huge wind with its wings, sending the human flying into a giant grass blade. The sound of his landing alerted a very special being lurking nearby. As the human got up, he saw his pouch landed away from him, but before he could reach it, it started to float. This shocked him for a split second before realizing why it was floating. He threw some water at it, which made it stumble its float. A ghost had possessed his pouch. He went after it, but it floated away, and as he was getting near, the ghost somersaulted just out of reach, its translucent grin widening as his pouch danced midair. 'Oops,' it mouthed, tossing his megacures like juggling pins. It was getting on his nerve.
He saw a multiberry on the ground and ate it. He could feel his entire body boosted and ready for action, and started sucking in air. This managed to get the ghost out of the pouch.
🗣️ "You guys are so annoying, get a life"
The ghost just laughed and left.
The human continued his journey, and finally got to the Flame Canyon. As he started descending, he saw a lot of destruction at the gates of the orc's ravine. He remembered what the vampires with the zombie army had planned when he was hiding.
He still had to sneak his way in, as now more than ever, the orcs would be even more territorial, given their ravine's state. He went from boulder to boulder, evading the orc guards' eyesights, climbing to the top of the gates without rising suspicions. The once marvelous minecart system was in ruins, and most magmabushes were left on their sticks, with no magmaleaves for the human to collect. But one bush was kept clear. One the human discovered on previous sneak-ins, behind some rocks, out of the mine's sight. He grabbed several magmaleaves with extreme care, as not to break them and set them ablaze, and got out of the canyon.
He went back to the Titanic Hollow and picked up some multiberries, before finally going back to the bloodtree. At last, there he was. Foot of the bloodtree. It was a specially sunny noon; he should be safe from any vampires that may want to eat bloodflowers. Not like there were any to eat, as it wasn't the season yet.
He went looking for the cave Wise Nature told him about, but it was futile. There was simply no sight of an entrance anywhere. But just as he was about to give up, he fell. Turns out, the black spots between the tree's roots weren't just wet soil, but darkness. He splattered his face on the ground as he entered the cave. Getting back up, he quickly scouted the cave: it was big enough for him to store resources and make a bed. The cave's air felt dirty, just like what he expected from such a place. He took a stick from his pouch and crushed a magmaleaf on it, illuminating the cave. Placing the torch on the ground would ensure ease of working, and there was a lot of work to do. He got out of the cave to find cottonvines. As he got some, he started knitting them into a blanket, as well as 3 cloths; cottonvine cloths are watertight, so their uses are diverse.
He then picked up some logs from fallen trees and went back to the cave. He carved the logs into planks using a flint rock he had, and made a cozy hammock with the planks and the blanket. At last, he planted the songflower he had into the ground, hoping no more crazy nights would devoid him of sleep.
Only thing left to worry about was food.
