Seasonings (basil x sunny)

basil looks frantically at his hand, turning it and flexing it to find it not broken.

"how...?" he muttered to himself.

sunny looks at him, concerned. question brimming in his eyes.

basil's gaze finds sunny's and he tells him not to worry and that he just had a bad dream.

hesitant at first, sunny then relaxes a bit as he realizes basil is ok. well, as ok as he can be with his situation.

upon seeing basil awake again the others join around, making sure not to crowd him to the point of panic. they are concerned about him passing out again, but are still able to remain calm enough to hold it together.

they know that to help basil they need to be thinking clearly.

sunny, on the other hand, could not say the same.

after giving basil a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder, sunny gets up and ushers the others over to him.

as they make their way over basil tries to join them but is stopped by aubrey's hand.

"no. you stay here, it should only be a moment. right, sunny?" she says with sunny nodding in return.

reluctant at first, basil finally agrees and sits back down waiting patiently for them to return.

as aubrey makes her way over sunny sighs deeply before speaking softly under his breath so basil will not hear.

"what is he saying?" basil thinks to himself.

he tries to lean in closer to her, but sunny notices and moves the crowd away a bit, quieting his voice more.

basil could swear that he saw something dark flash in sunny's eyes, but he brushed it off as just a trick of the light.

"you want to WHAT?" hero exclaims.

sunny responds with a loud shush, eyes quickly going to basil to find him staring right back at him. he returns his gaze to hero and nods.

"no. no way. we can't do that!" hero responds, leading to another shush from sunny.

"it's the only way..." sunny says softly, yet just loud enough for basil to hear.

"i agree with hero on this," aubrey says, kel nodding along with her. "this isn't right..."

sunny become slightly agitated to the point of a quiet outburst.

"yeah? well then you can leave then! i'll do this by myself! since i'm the only one who cares for him..."

hero sighs. "don't be like that, bud. you know we care about him a lot and just want what's best for him."

"yeah? well this is the only way," sunny replies coldly.

hero chimes in again. "you really think this is what is best?" a strong nod from sunny. "well, then ok. im with you."

this gets a surprised look from kel, who eventually nods as well. "i guess i'm with my brother then."

they all look at aubrey who stares back, eyes wide.

"oh heeeell no. i'm not in on this."

"c'mon, aubrey. it'll help him, sunny says so," kel protests.

"i don't care! he's my FRIEND i'm not going to do that to him!"

"it's for his own good," hero says softly.

aubrey's face first plastered with disgust gradually changes to her lips pressed together in a thin line.

after a long moment of them all staring at her she speaks again.

"...ok. let's do it."

sunny nods and leads them back to basil and he speaks softly as he sits down beside him.

"we're just going to chill out here for a while."

"why? what are you going to do to me?" basil responds, becoming panicked.

"shh shhh...," sunny tries to calm him down. "relax we're not going to hurt you, just hang tight..."

"why?" he asks again. "what are....y..you...."

as basil trying to ask his second question, sunny gently reaches over and presses the pressure point on his neck.

"n...no... sun....ny..."

"i'm sorry...," sunny whispers in his ear.

then he is unconscious.
