🌠Twilight🌠
I feel the force of the plane's brakes as it touches down, my body would fly forward if it weren't for the seatbelt. After landing, the plane glides smoothly along the runways, I watch the view through the half-open window beside me. The day was clear, with few clouds, typical Canterlot summer, I would have to get used to the new weather.
After what seemed like an eternity, I'm on my way to the airport taxi exit. My dear dog, Spike, is calm inside the backpack on my back, he just woke up. Unlike me, besides carrying him on my back, I still have a huge suitcase (with wheels to my relief) being dragged through the entire airport. My hand was starting to ache slightly. Luckily, I'm distracted by the sound of my phone vibrating in my bag, I manage to answer the call with some difficulty.
- Twilight, how beautiful are you? Have you arrived?
I smile upon hearing my mother's voice, I was about to call her anyway.
- Yes, mom. I've arrived, I'm already heading to the meeting point.
- That's great, your brother told me he's nearby. Don't leave the airport, wait for him to arrive.
Still smiling, I resist the urge to roll my eyes, I know she's worried about me, moving me to live with my brother in a new city, but I've never been one to do "stupid things," I'm what many call a "perfect little daughter."
- Don't worry, when I get home, I'll call you again. Love you!
- Love you too, my dear, kisses.
I say goodbye, ending the call, as soon as I arrive at the meeting point, where taxis and other cars stop to pick up passengers, I sit on a wooden bench, taking Spike out of the backpack and placing him on the ground.
- You're getting a bit heavy to stay on my back, buddy.
Spike doesn't even pay attention to me, he keeps wagging his tail, looking elsewhere, barking. I follow his gaze, my smile widening even more.
- Shining! - I shout, my brother soon spots me and comes towards me, smiling just like me. As soon as we get close, we hug.
Shining Armor was much taller than me, we shared the same cool brown skin and straight dark hair as jet, mine being purple and his, blue, with lighter highlights. Our difference, aside from height, is our eyes, while mine are dull purple, the dear one has beautiful blue eyes like the sea.
Shining was in the army, he moved to Canterlot while still in training, almost four years ago, but stayed in the city after graduating last year. If my parents didn't have to move to other countries because of their research, I wouldn't have come to live here with Shining.
- Twilight, I missed you! - Shining says, releasing me from the hug, taking the opportunity to crouch down and pet Spike who was begging for attention.
Before I can say anything, a woman, very beautiful indeed, approaches. She was tall with fair skin, her tricolored hair, pink, purple, and yellow, cascaded in waves with beautiful curls at the ends over her body. She approached my brother and smiled at me.
- So, you're Shining's famous sister?
I look at her without understanding, my mouth opens, but no sound comes out of it. Shining soon stands up, standing beside the woman.- Oh... Twilight, I forgot to tell you more, this is Cadance, my girlfriend.
I blink, glancing between the two in front of me, how did I not know about this? Did my parents even know about this? And if so, why didn't anyone tell me?
I look angrily at the two, I know the girl has nothing to do with it, it's not her fault, my dear brother, not telling me, but in a way, I still feel angry at her. At both of them.
