The summer sun hung high in the sky as I gathered with my friends at the entrance of the city's municipal park, along with our other classmates. Today is the day of the school excursion planned by our biology teacher, a way to escape the daily classroom routine.

Pinkie grabs Applejack's arm, pulling her forcefully, grinning from ear to ear.

- Come on, Applejack!

Applejack laughs as she lets herself be dragged by Pinkie. - Calm down, sugar, the park isn't going anywhere!

I watched as the two of them walked away. Moments earlier, the teacher had asked us to pair up. Each pair would have to walk around the park and note down any ecological systems we observed.

Rarity sighs, watching the other two walk away. With a gentle smile, she approaches Fluttershy.

- Darling, I'm going to need your help.

- There's still time to run, Fluttershy,- Rainbow teases, casually leaning against a nearby tree, her mocking smile evident.

Rarity frowns, clearly offended. - Not funny! I'm a great partner for...- she looked around, observing the trees around us, - for activities in the middle of this vegetation.

I laughed softly along with Rainbow and Fluttershy.

- Calm down, Rarity, I can be your partner,- Fluttershy says, comforting Rarity.

Rarity sighs with relief and links her arm with Fluttershy's. - That's good, darling.

As I mentioned to you earlier today, there will be a sustainable fashion event in the city, and I plan to create a collection of dresses inspired by nature!

Rainbow leans close to me. - Even here she has to talk about clothes,- she whispers with a smile.

I roll my eyes, smiling, while Rarity continues, oblivious to the comment.

- And since you, Fluttershy, are a nature expert, you'll help me find my inspiration in this... friendly little forest!

- It will be a pleasure to help you, Rarity.

The two of them walked away, immersed in conversations about fashion and nature. Rainbow crosses her arms, turning to me with a smile.

- Looks like we're going to be partners!

I bit my lip; this wasn't exactly how I had planned it. - Well... actually... I already agreed to do the work with someone else...

I looked at Flash, who was adjusting his backpack a little further ahead. Rainbow frowned, following my gaze.

- Oh, I see, ditching your friends for a boy.

- No, Rainbow, it's not that...- I say quickly, a bit panicked.

I'm cut off by the colorful girl's laughter. Rainbow gives me a light pat on the shoulder. - I'm just messing with you, silly! Go ahead, I'll find someone from the team to go with me.

With that, I hurried over to Flash. He greeted me with a smile. I took a deep breath; today would be the day!
