Edward pov

My wife came out a few hours later and I took the IV line off of her and she laid her head down back on my lap and fell back asleep.

So I covered her with the blanket from the back of the couch because she was comfortable in my tshirt and her boy shorts right now because she did not feel good and I was going to leave her be.

I was actually still going through all the stuff she found.

Holy fucking shit there's a ton of fucking shit on this thing as a human.

It was actually after bedtime and I already gave everyone their meds and Gracie is hopefully done for the night.

I have both shields back up right now enjoying the quiet.

My wife is resting on me. So I know she is safe right now.

Gracie is in ear shot so I can hear her and all I had on beside my boxers is my pajama bottoms.

My wife got her face snuggled into my stomach. Recharging. Different way. I say to myself.

I finally laid down behind my wife on the couch and fell asleep.

Oh hopefully Gracie sleeps through the night. I was holding my wife like a teddy bear again.

But for the first time Gracie slept through the night. I'm in total fucking shock at that.

I was just laying here waking up and my wife was still sleeping. I really missed these moments with my wife.

We haven't had them oh I really hate to admit it we found out we were mates and best friends.

We really need to take this time before we take the next step and just be like this even though she is at best friend stage.

At least she knows we are married and I love her because I just couldn't hide it no more.

I really had to wake her up though because I had to give her medication and deal with my sister shit this morning since my wife was done and Gracie.

I cupped the side of her face since she was facing me and snuggled so fucking close to me.

"Hey need to wake up for me baby. I got to get things done with my sister since you're right now and also deal with Gracie and make you breakfast." I told her.

"All I want to do is stay right here snuggled up with my Mas teddy bear and sleep I don't feel good. I just don't Mas! I think you're right about what you told me but I feel you you might have to increase the IV bags unil I start coming out of this funk! It's like no they just told me there's a bottle that showed up for you in my sister's office for you from them for and there's a note for you I'm supposed to go in the bedroom and you are to hurry. Mas can you help me please I need a human moment but I don't have the strength!" She told me.

"No problem Baby. Just like before! I love you." I got up very carefully so she didn't fall off the couch and then I carried her to the bathroom and covered her with a towel and just sat down because she just did the rest.

"Thank you for checking me your way Mas or we not of not figure it out and I'm afraid of what could of happened to me. More doors slamming shut in my head again. I don't want that to happen again and lose you and in my head again." She was losing it and she was just about this happening to her again especially about me.

"Are you done baby!" She nodded her head and she just got into her safe place on me and was still crying.

"Oh baby I got you! I'm always here for you no matter what. I love you too much. To give up on you. Look at me for a minute please!" She never lifted her head off my shoulder but looked at me and I cupped the side of her face.
