~Breakfast~

We walked downstairs together hand in hand whispering sweet jokes into each other's ears. I laughed really loudly but Phil shouted at me, "shhhhh!" "Sorry!" I said whilst still laughing. We kissed one last time before resuming to best friends again. We walked into the kitchen to where my mum and dad were. "Morning Daniel! Who's this?" My dad said. I wish he wouldn't call me Daniel in front of Phil. I rolled my eyes but replied with, "morning dad, this is Phil my new boyfri- uhh new best friend!" Shit. I blew it. "Oh nice to meet you Phil!" My dad said. Phil tapped me on the back. I looked at him seeing what the problem was. My arms. shIT. "Uh I'll be back in a minute I have to........uh...get my phone." I lied. Phil followed me upstairs trailing behind. "Idiot!" I shouted. "No Dan calm down please!" Phil said soothingly. "How could I have made such a stupid move?!" I questioned. "Just ignore what just happened and focus on the future." Phil said trying to calm me down. At this point my eyes had flooded with tears. "Dan, please don't cry! You're stronger than this!" Phil said pulling me into a hug. "You're right." I sobbed. I buried my face into his chest and he combed my hair with his fingers. "Shhhh..." He really cared about me! I pulled away and looked into his eyes. "You'll be okay!" He reassured. We walked back downstairs together and camped out there. My dad was just about to go out the door. "Thank god," I sighed. "See you later dad!" I said quietly. My mum looked up the stairs at me and Phil. Her eyes went wide. Why? She rushed back into the kitchen and I could hear her sobbing. Phil covered his mouth with his free hand. We were still holding hands. SHIT! "No no no no no no no no no no no!!" I said over and over again. "Dan, calm down." Phil said. "How can I? She.....she just SAW!!!!" I screamed. At this point I was having a panic attack. I sat on the stairs and sobbed into my knees. Phil sat down next to me and rubbed my back. "You haven't told her yet have you?" He asked. "I did, but she didn't think I was serious." I said still sobbing. Phil tried to hug me, but I declined and ran upstairs. "Dan, wait!" Phil screamed but I took no notice. I rushed into my bedroom and into the bathroom. I locked the door behind me. I could hear Phil's heavy footsteps come into my room. He banged on the door of the bathroom and screamed my name. "Dan! Dan please unlock the door! Come on please! I love you!!" He shouted. I stared at myself in the mirror but decided to do nothing. I put my back against the door and slid down to cry into my knees. The banging carried on but I chose to ignore it. It then stopped and I could hear Phil's quiet sobs outside the door. He must've put his back against the door as I heard him slide down as well. "Dan, please come out!" He begged. I stood up and unlocked the door. Phil stood up and wrapped his arms around my chest. I put my arms around his shoulders and sobbed again into his neck. "I love you!" He sniffled. He kissed me gently and picked me up to carry me out. I let him kiss me but I pushed away when he was about to grab me. "Phil, I can't!" I said. "I'll be right by your side don't worry!" He said whilst hugging me. "Trust me." We walked downstairs and into the kitchen where my mum was. She was doing the dishes but I could see that she had been crying. "Mum, I can explain." I started. "There's no need to, I'm sorry........but Phil you have to leave. My son is not being gay!" I looked at Phil, who had started crying. Why would she say that?! "Goodbye Phil!" She said. He walked towards the front door. "See you Dan!" He said whilst unlocking the door. I looked at my mum, who had her arms crossed. I thought about what had just happened and ran after Phil. "Phil, wait!" I screamed. "Daniel, get back here now!" My mum shouted. "No, I'm staying with Phil, he needs me, I need him!" And with that I ran off to Phil. "Phil!" I screamed whilst running up and hugging him from behind. "This is a bit last minute but, can I stay with you?" I asked. "Yes. Yes! Yes of course!" He said looking the happiest I've ever seen him. "But what about your family?" He asked. "If they can't accept who I am then they aren't real loving parents!" I said whilst leaning in to kiss Phil. He accepted my kiss and hugged me tightly. "I love you Dan!" He said. "I love you too Phil!"
