Naomi was sitting in her car as she texted Aaliyah.

tell me i'm rightAaliyah didn't text back. Naomi sat looking around, confused.
"Grew apart?" She thought to herself. "What the fuck is she talking about?"
Naomi and Aaliyah have been best friends for over four years and have been close the entire time. This felt so suddenly to Naomi because she didn't see any signs. Naomi didn't want to seem like she was forcing it so she decided to see Aaliyah for herself.

Naomi marched up to Aaliyah's apartment door and unlocked it with the key she had. They each had a key to the others apartment. When she opened the door, she went to the living room to see Aaliyah working on a client.
Aaliyah: What the-
Naomi: I need to speak with you.
Aaliyah: I'm sort of in the middle of-
Naomi: Now.
Client: I don't know who the fuck you are but bitch she's in the middle of my set.
Naomi: I know this troll lookin shit ain't speaking to me.
Aaliyah felt the tension rising and immediately stood up.
Aaliyah: Just give me a second, boo, okay?
Client; Yeah, check that.
Naomi: Bitch, I'll check you.
Naomi dropped her purse as she walked over but Aaliyah quickly got up and stopped.
Aaliyah: Let's go outside. Come on.
She picked up Aaliyah's bag and walked into the halls.
Aaliyah: Nay, she's literally a new client. I doubt she's gonna come back after this.
Naomi: Maybe she doesn't need to come back then, shit. Bitch should've minded her business.
Aaliyah: What do you want?
Naomi: I want to know what your problem is.
Aaliyah: What do you mean?
Naomi: You tryna gaslight me or something? You literally said we grew apart or some shit.
