~ Naomi First Person POV ~
Naomi laid across her bed watching Spongebob as the hours of the day went by. All day she had been thinking about Aaliyah and what she said about their friendship. Naomi couldn't wrap her head around how suddenly and weirdly Aaliyah had changed.
RING RING RING
Naomi looked at her phone to see Mercedes was calling her.
Naomi: Hello?
"Yooo. Feel like I ain't talk to you in forever."
Naomi: Hey, Mercedes.
"Aaah boy, why you sound like that?"
Naomi: I'm pissed.
"Again? Need me to come over so we can talk about it? I know it's early but it's never too early for me."
Naomi: I'm supposed to be hanging out with Chanel.
"Who?"
Naomi: I'm other- well... only best friend now..."
"Only? What happened to Aaliyah?"
Naomi: I don't even know right now. She acting so fucking weird. We not on talking terms right now."
"Well I ain't gon' make you talk about it so you can tell me at another time. What y'all bouta do?"
Naomi: Probably get our nails done and go shopping or something. I don't know."
The call went silent for a second. Naomi thought they disconnected.
Naomi: Hello?
"I'm still here but I got a proposition for you. Maybe it'll make you feel even better."
Naomi: And that is?
"Y'all meeting at your crib?"
Naomi: Yeah she'll be here in like a hour.
"Bet."
Naomi: What are you talking about, boy?
"Nothing. You'll see. Later, Nay."
Naomi: Bye, I guess...
He hung up the phone.
Naomi: Weirdo.
Naomi went back to watching Spongebob.

About two hours later, Naomi and Chanel walked out of Naomi's apartment complex and Naomi saw Mercedes's car outside. He rolled down his window and Naomi walked up to it.
Naomi: What are you doing here?
She said smiling.
Mercedes: Being your bank and chauffeur. Get in. Both of y'all.
Naomi looked back at Chanel who was confused. Naomi walked over to her.
Naomi: You wanna go with him? We don't have to. I can decline and we can be on our way.
Chanel: What's he offering?
Naomi: From what I heard? To buy us anything we-
Chanel: Thats enough for me!
She hurried over in her heels to his car and got in the back seat.
Chanel: Heyy!
Naomi laughed as she got in the car.
Mercedes: How you doin? I'm Mercedes.
Chanel: I know, boy. I'm Chanel.
Mercedes laughed.
