It's been two weeks since our move to LA, and I finally unpacked the last box yesterday. We had planned for this weekend to be enjoyable by the pool. The weather in New York and LA is strikingly different. The heat in LA is extreme, and we were looking forward to cooling off in the pool to avoid the oppressive temperatures.

This house is double the size of our New York home, so we have lots of rooms. This place has David's home office. The poolside and underground wine cellar are the highlight of this home. David has been accommodating and understanding throughout the move, making the process much easier for me.

This morning, David woke me up early. He has a flight to catch for a new project that will take him away from the city for the weekend. Now I'm packing his luggage and waiting for him to leave the shower.

When David came out of the shower, he asked, "Everything packed?"

I looked at him with a sharp glare. "Yes, Your Highness."

David met my eyes and said, "Hey, I thought we talked about this last night."

I flared my nostrils in frustration. "No, we just had sex. No talking involved."

David dipped his head. "Do moans and screams count in talking?"

I rolled my eyes, trying to hold onto my irritation but feeling it slip away.

David walked over to me and kissed me gently. "I compensated for two hours so that you wouldn't miss me," he said with a playful smile.

I pushed him away. "Yeah, whatever. Now hurry up; you're getting late."

After half an hour, I kissed him goodbye and watched as he left for his trip. I looked around the house and sighed. There was an eerie silence all around me. I decided to have wine and enjoy this sunny day near the pool.

After pouring myself wine, I walked over to the pool and sat on the floor. I dipped my feet in the water and closed my eyes after taking a sip. I was embracing my loneliness with a smile on my face. There was a little green area attached to the pool. Green leaves actually soothe the effects of sunlight. This moment of peace was just what I needed after the hectic weeks of moving and unpacking.

Thoughts started to cross my mind as I was sipping my wine. Did David really work so hard that his boss gave us this lovely, huge, and fancy place, or was this the outcome of that night? I shook my head to get rid of these worries. I had been having these thoughts for two weeks, so this wasn't the first time they came to me. I pushed them to the back of my mind and wouldn't let them take over.

But when I thought about Mr. Langford, my body started craving him. The memory of that night made my pulse quicken, and I felt a rush of longing. My core aches for his touch. I realized my hand reached between my thighs while thinking about him. I shook my head and immediately removed my hand between my thighs.

I picked up my phone and turned on the music to distract my mind. I started humming and swaying while having my wine. After a few tracks, when I finished my drink, I decided to swim. I stood up and kept my glass on the kitchen island while making my way to the room.

I wore my blue bikini to beat the heat and headed back to the pool. I plunged into the pool, and when my body was immersed in the water it felt like my emotions started to fade away. I smiled and tapped myself on the shoulder for hitting the water.

In order to get rid of thoughts of Mr. Langford, I stayed underwater. I heard the doorbell ring all of a sudden. I cursed the person at the door as I got out of the water, grabbing my sarong and draping it around my waist. Before opening the door, I looked at the camera and Mr. Langford was standing at my door.
