Chapter 5

Trees seemed to shift and twist around us, like they were trying to confuse us. We had been searching for Seth for hours, but every path we took led us in circles."I can't shake the feeling we're being watched," Elliot said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I know what you mean," Dylan replied, his eyes scanning the surroundings. "I keep seeing movement out of the corner of my eye, but whenever I turn to look, there's no one there."

Lyla's expression was grim. "We need to keep moving. We can't let the forest play tricks on us."As we pressed on, the trees grew taller and the shadows deepened. We stumbled upon a clearing, and in the center, we found a group of teenagers. They were pale and gaunt, their eyes sunken and empty. "Who are you?" Elliot asked, his voice shaking slightly.

The teenagers didn't respond. They just stared at us; their eyes fixed on us like they were trying to see into our souls. Suddenly, Seth appeared beside them. His eyes were black as coal, and his skin was deathly pale.

"Welcome to the Forest of Forever", Seth said, his voice cold and menacing. "You'll never leave." As he spoke, the trees seemed to close in around us, their branches tangling above our heads like skeletal fingers. We were trapped, and the forest was determined to keep us forever.
