Seth's smile was like a knife twisting in our hearts. We had trusted him, and he had betrayed us. "You're the one who's been leading us deeper into the forest," Dylan accused, his voice cold with anger.
Seth shrugged. "I had to make sure you were fully invested in the game. "The game?" Elliot repeated, his voice shaking with fear. "What game? "Seth's eyes gleamed with excitement. "The game of survival. And only one of you will make it out alive.
"As he spoke, the teenagers around us began to move, their empty eyes fixed on us like predators. "Lyla, what's going on?" Dylan asked, trying to reach out to her.But Lyla just laughed, her voice cold and menacing.
"I've been playing both sides, Dylan. And now, it's time for you to pay the price. "The teenagers closed in around us, their hands grasping like claws. We were trapped, and Seth was the mastermind behind it all.
