When they came back from the training room, Lucy was still curious as to why the caseworker told her she could call Nat mom. Nat knew this, and had already told the team her plan, so when Wanda, and Lucy returned, she spoke mainly to Wanda. "I'm adopting Lucy," "uhh what," Lucy said in a sassy way, a sign she was comfortable. "Is that okay," Nat asked, "uhh yeah," Lucy just became sassier. Nat smiled, then since Nat was adopting her, Lucy felt the need to tell them the truth. "No but for real though," Lucy became serious, Wanda knew why, but everyone else was worried. "My real name is Annabella, but I don't use that name anymore, we changed it immediately when I went into foster care 1 year ago.'' They understood, and no one asked why, Lucy became sassy again, "also whoever told you I was 10 lied, I'm 11 now." There were some smiles, and others were chuckling, Lucy was quiet, then "Nat, I think I just got my period, I smell blood." Nat took her to the bathroom, and checked, she had started. Nat gave her a pad, and asked, "is puberty just hitting you, has this been happening?" Lucy sassily responded, "yes it has,'' Nat laughed, and left the room to allow Lucy some privacy. When Lucy had cleaned up, she went back downstairs, and got some water. Nat saw her, "how's my girl feeling," Lucy smiled, shrugged, and snuggled into Nat, Nat rubbed her back knowing she's been through a lot. Then it was bedtime, Nat sent Lucy to get ready for bed, and the next day, Lucy started the shower. After she got out, she put on jeans, a purple shirt, socks, and red converse. Downstairs she ran into Nat, "hi Nat," Nat smiled, "hi sweetheart. How did you sleep," Lucy shrugged and mumbled, "okay." Nat smiled, "Cereal, waffles, or pancakes," "all of them," Lucy joked. Nat laughed, "just kidding," Lucy said, "cereal please." Then after Lucy ate she ran to brush teeth, Nat told her, "since I'm adopting you, the social services told the school and put you under my name. Anyway, your teacher told me there was a field trip, and she recommended you staying home due to the location of the field trip." Lucy was excited, "wait so no school," Nat smiled, "no school for a whole week." "A WHOLE WEEK," Lucy was shocked, Nat smiled, "they're staying for a week." "Yassss," Lucy was so excited, then she decided to call Nat mom as she was super comfortable around her. Nat knew she was struggling, or so she thought, "hey Nat," "yes,"mom may I please have water?" Nat smiled, and got her some water. Then Nat got a call from Sean the caseworker, "hello this is Natasha," "hi Nat, Sean, Lucy has been asking about homeschool, and I was wondering if you were going to homeschool her since you are officially adopting her?" Nat replied, "yes I will homeschool her," when she had hung up, she decided to let Lucy finish off the year at the school she was in currently, then surprise her with homeschool. A week later, and Nat got a notification that the class got home later than expected, so school was cancelled for the day. When Lucy woke up, she went to the toilet, then downstairs thinking she had school. Nat saw her, "hey girlie guess what," "what," Lucy sleepily replied, ''no school today, the class got home later than expected so your teacher cancelled school." Lucy smiled, "can we - " Lucy gasps, "Mamma!" Nat got worried, "next week is the last week of school," Lucy said.
