"Indeed," Malcolm laughed. "We are now balancing on the precipice between life and death, threatening to tip over into what awaits us. Now, come, ye cowards! Show me your resolve!"

Scorch growled. "I summon a monster in defense position and set two cards face down. With that, I end my turn."
"Is that all?" Malcolm questioned, a smug grin on his face. "By all means, dig your graves faster."
"I draw!" Chills yelled. "First, I summon to the field, Pompadour Blizzardon!" A giant gray and blue dinosaur covered in spikes made of ice appeared, letting out a massive roar at Malcolm.

"I set one card face down, and end my turn."
"Pathetic, truly," Malcolm chastised. "Let me show you a real duelist's turn. I draw!"
"First, I activate the field spell Lair of Darkness! All face-up monsters become Dark, and once per turn, on any turn, I can tribute one of my opponent's Dark-attribute monsters as though they were one of my own!" The arena they were in found itself becoming yet darker still, as though a thick black fog had rolled in. Bells could be heard in the background, like those of a church.
