Shortly after Timothy's conversation with Tulip, Nurse Joy returned Electchu and Yamper fully healed. Electchu happily jumped onto Timothy's shoulder to give him a nuzzle while Sonia hugged Yamper and petted its head. After thanking Nurse Joy, Timothy, Coovers, Sonia, Electchu, Oshawott, and Yamper left the Pokemon Center and rode their Rotom Bicycles to Motostoke Station just in time to catch the next train heading to Wedgehurst.
Timothy, Coovers, and Sonia did their homework while their partners napped as they rode the train. They finished homework early, for their teachers didn't give them much for the first day. As soon as Coovers and Sonia put their textbooks and notebooks away, Timothy took the opportunity to pitch his idea to them.
"You want to make flyers to save the Pokemon?" Coovers asked.
"Why not? It makes perfect sense," Timothy said. "What's more effective in getting people to care about Pokemon about to lose their home than seeing the Pokemon themselves? If we make flyers asking for help with pictures of cute, innocent Pokemon, people will be so moved that they'll want to help them before the Magnolia Paddock is closed. In hindsight, we should've thought of this ages ago."
Coovers hesitated and said, "I don't know, Timbo. I see your logic, but it would be an awful lot of work since we would have to make enough flyers to hang all over the halls of a three-story building to raise our chances of people seeing them."
"True, but we can also use the number of fliers we need to our advantage," Timothy said. "There are all kinds of Pokemon at the Magnolia Paddock, so each flyer could be a picture of a different Pokemon or group of Pokemon. Plus, some Pokemon might interest people more than others, so it makes all the more sense that we show the variety of Pokemon we take care of."
"Still, it'll take a while to take pictures of so many Pokemon and then make those flyers," Coovers said. "Are you suggesting that we do this over the weekend?"
"No. We should do it as soon as we get home," Timothy said.
"What? That's practically going to take all night," Coovers said.
"Well, the Pokemon are living on borrowed time, Coovers. Goodness knows when a day might be set for their home to be demolished," Timothy said. "We must seize our opportunities to help them however we can."
Coovers bit his lip and looked away hesitantly. He scratched the back of his head, trying to think of another counter until he accepted that Timothy was right. He sighed in defeat, giving Timothy confidence until Coovers looked at him apologetically.
"Well, I hope you're right that this is the right idea and time to do it," Coovers said. "That said, if you want to have it done today, you'll have to count me out this time. I promised my mom I would look after my sister tonight while she's at work.
"That's alright, I understand," Timothy said before turning to Sonia. "Sonia, what about you? It's your grandmother's paddock and part of your home, so it's your choice whether we do this."
Sonia furrowed her brow, growing concerned with how Timothy constantly pitched ideas as though he was coming up with get-rich schemes. Yet between flyers and trying to get attention through popularity, Timothy's new idea was more plausible, and the wild Pokemon were as close to Sonia's heart as Professor Magnolia's. Whether the plan was crazy or not, it warmed Sonia's heart that Timothy was sincerely devoted to help.
"All right, let's do it," Sonia said.
"Awesome," Timothy said. "I'll let my folks know I'll be at the paddock with you. I suggest we consider which Pokemon we will take pictures of while we're not home yet, so we're not deciding when we get to your house."
