Third-person pov.
Stefan and Elena were casually strolling in the woods behind the Salvatore Boarding house after the hectic day of killing the tomb vampires. They decided to mend their relationship and take a walk. Suddenly, they heard some rustling of leaves and a thud behind them.
As they turned around, their eyes fell upon a girl lying on the ground, wincing in pain. Her vibrant cherry-red hair looked as if it had been dyed, and her petite, slender 5'5" frame resembled that of a delicate doll. She was dressed in a low-cut floral top and a matching skirt that reached her thighs.
"Ow, ow, ow," she winced as the small twigs dug into her porcelain skin. "Are you okay, miss?" Stefan asked her, and she suddenly realized there was another presence behind her. She looked back to see a human and a vampire staring at her.
"Yes, I'm fine. Flying isn't as easy as it seems," she grumbled in her adorable voice and stood up, facing them. Elena looked at her in concern. "Flying?" "Yeah, you haven't tried that?" Stefan looked at her weirdly. "You, vampire guy, what about you?"
"who are you?" he asked, "Oh where are my manners I forgot to introduce myself, I am Ivy Ingrid a fairy!"
Ivy's pov.
"Where are you taking me?" I yelled at the vampire who was dragging me through the woods. I would have made his hair pink, but I was very tired from flying.
I was walking around in the forest when I overheard the blood fairies discussing the human realm and how they found it amusing. They mentioned that earth fairies would never be able to go there. I took that as a challenge and started flying aimlessly.
I eventually got lost and ended up here with a vampire and a cute human. I know, sad, right? "What is this place?" I said, gazing up at the huge mansion. He again ignored me, and I huffed, separating myself from him.
There was a tall man in the room with raven hair and baby blue eyes. "What is this tiny human doing here?" he said, pointing at me. I gasped. "I'm not tiny, and I'm definitely not a human vampy" I glared at him.
"She's a fairy," Vampire 1 said. "Fairies exist?" Vampire 2 asked. "Can you just tell me your names? It's very hard calling you vampy 1 and vampy 2." "I'm Stefan Salvatore," the blond one said."I'm Damon Salvatore," the raven one said.
"Cool, I'm Ivy Ingrid," I said, turning to the human and looking at her expectantly. "I'm Elena Gilbert," she smiled kindly. I smiled back widely at her. "You're so pretty," I said, and she blushed. "Thank you, you are very beautiful too," I said, smiling again."Is this the human realm?" I asked. "Human realm?" Damon asked and I nodded. "Where the supernaturals live, yeah," I said. "In my 169 years of life, I never knew fairies existed.""Well, many kinds of creatures exist: vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, angels, fairies, elves, etc.," I said.
"Wow," Stefan said, and I nodded. "So what are you doing here?""Well, I was on my way to explore the human world and got lost," I smiled sheepishly. "And you are alone?" I nodded at Damon."You can stay with us, then."
He said, and my eyes shone with gratitude. "Really? Thank you!" For some reason, Elena and Stefan looked skeptically at him, but I just shrugged, happy about staying here."Can you tell me more about your world?" I asked, looking at Elena hopefully. She nodded, and I smiled brightly, about to go, when Damon held my hand. "How did you know we were vampires?" "I can feel your aura," I said, and they looked confused.
"What do you mean?" "I can feel that you're a vampire." "Like a witch?" Stefan asked. I shook my head. "Witches can suspect it. Some can and some cannot, but us fairies, we can 100% tell whether someone is supernatural or not."
"They shot up their eyebrows, impressed, and I giggled, walking away with Elena. "So, what is your family like?" she asked, and I smiled. "Well, I have three elder brothers and they are very cute, and that's all." "Parents?" My smile dimmed. "I was orphaned at the age of 3," I said, and she nodded sadly.
"What about you?" I asked. She chuckled and replied, "I have a younger brother, an aunt, and an uncle. My parents died about 6 months ago." "Sorry for your loss," I said. "Thanks," she replied. "Do you know where we go after we die?" I asked. "No," she answered.
"Well, it is said that humans who do bad things go to hell, and the good ones go to heaven. It's all true." "Really? Wow, how do you know?" "Well, I've been to hell. A lot of my friends are demons; actually, a few of them are also angels," I said, reminiscing about them and smiled sadly, missing my home.
She looked thoughtful. "That's interesting. Where do the supernatural go?" "Well, they go to the other side, where they spectate over everything alone. It gets very lonely, but there is something very special about fairies and elves."
She giggles at my excited look and gestures for me to explain. "We fairies are reincarnated in the form of other fairies of our generation. Whenever a fairy dies, another one is born. The same goes for Elves, so we don't really die."
"That's very interesting," I nodded happily as we stood in front of a place called Mystic Grill. I looked around, rocking back and forth on my shoes, gazing amusedly at the humans around. She chuckled at my reaction and led me inside towards a table.
I saw a brunette sitting on a table and waving at Elena. She dragged me towards her, and we sat down. "Hi, I'm Ivy!" I said, introducing myself to her. She smiled lightly. "I'm Bonnie, nice to meet you, Ivy." "She is our new friend and she's staying with the Salvatores since she got lost."
"Oh," Bonnie said, looking suspicious, "Is she safe with them?" she asked. I giggled and replied, "I'm a fairy, Bonnie. Everything will be okay." "You're a fairy?" she asked, looking uncertain. I nodded. "I'm a witch," my eyes shot up when she said that. "You're my servant then," I smiled at her.
She appeared puzzled. "How am I your servant?" "Well, I'm an earth fairy, and we are essentially nature," she mused and nodded. Then we all got back to talking and having fun, them introducing me to many new things.
Third person's pov.
"Something is odd about her," Damon said, thinking. "Do you feel it too?" Stefan asked, and Damon nodded subtly. "I feel strangely protective of her, and it's odd." "I'm feeling the same way," Stefan said, looking puzzled.
"We just met her, and I want to protect her from everything, as if it's an instinct," Stefan said, and Damon nodded, feeling the same. It was very weird why they felt like that. "She's very amusing, almost like a kid," Damon said, thinking about it.
They both made a solemn vow to protect the extremely energetic fairy, despite being unaware of her true identity. All they knew was that she possessed a remarkable spirit in a world filled with cruelty.
Yours truly
