As Dev finished freshening up, we all made our way to the mandap, with his relatives joyfully dancing around. Aakarsh signaled us to join in the fun, and even though I initially shook my head, I couldn't resist for long and eventually found myself swaying to the music alongside Dev.
Amidst the lively atmosphere, an uncle even started busting out some classic naagin dance moves, adding to the merriment. But as we approached the mandap, my eyes caught sight of her – Ishika, giggling with her friends. Memories of her name flooded back to me, and I couldn't help but steal a glance.
As we reached the mandap, Shanaya's friends began to encircle Dev, engaging in the age-old tradition of stealing the groom's shoes. I watched as a mischievous boy attempted to snatch Dev's shoes and make a dash for it, but before he could, I intercepted, seizing the shoes and darting away.
"Hey, that's not fair!" the boy protested.
"Everything is fair in love and war, dear," I teased, laughing as I evaded his grasp.
But my triumph was short-lived as I collided with someone and stumbled backward, causing the shoes to slip from my grip. "Let me show you what's fair," the voice said, and to my surprise, it was Ishika. She swiftly scooped up the shoes and dashed off.
Without hesitation, I signaled to Dhruv and Aakarsh to give chase, while I returned to Dev's side. "What happened, man? You couldn't even protect shoes properly," he joked.
"Maybe you should have been more careful," I retorted, and we shared a laugh.
"Let me fetch your shoes; you sit and focus on the rituals," I offered before heading off to retrieve them, leaving Dev to his ceremonial duties.

OUTFITS!!
As I darted through the crowd, the thrill of the chase coursing through me, I couldn't help but smirk. Were these boys really struggling to keep up in their kurtas while I effortlessly maneuvered through the chaos in my lehenga? It was almost comical.
But my amusement was short-lived as something collided with my face, startling me. It was Malhotra, and I instinctively took a step back, eyeing him warily. Then, just as I thought I had outsmarted them, one of the boys chasing me snatched the joota from my hand triumphantly. "Got it!" he exclaimed, a smug grin spreading across his face.
"That's fair, isn't it?" Yash remarked, his tone teasing, while I couldn't help but let a pout slip onto my face. But then, he took a closer look at the shoes and realized they weren't Dev's. I couldn't contain my smirk as Yash's expression shifted from triumph to disbelief. This was my moment of boldness, my chance to prove that I could play this game just as well as anyone else.
"These aren't the real ones," he said in frustration to the other boys, his annoyance palpable. "I think that this is fair," I interjected, sauntering away with a newfound sense of confidence. It felt exhilarating to be so bold, to outwit them all.
As I walked away, I couldn't shake the feeling of Yash's eyes on me. It was a strange sensation, one I couldn't quite place, but deep down, I found myself enjoying it. Perhaps there was more to this playful game of chase than meets the eye.

As the moment arrived for the bride's grand entrance, Dev's friends stepped forward, holding the white cloth as a shield to preserve the anticipation. Yash, amidst the throng of guests, found his gaze involuntarily drawn to Ishika, who danced with an effortless grace that caught his eye. Yet, his attention was momentarily diverted when he noticed Kabir, a familiar face from Ishika's circle, joining her on the dance floor. They moved together, their chemistry palpable, though Yash remained unaware of their connection.
Meanwhile, the wedding rituals proceeded smoothly, culminating in Dev and Shanaya being pronounced husband and wife. The celebratory cheers echoed through the hall as the newlyweds basked in the joy of their union.
As the night progressed into the early hours, the guests gathered for a late-night dinner, the jovial atmosphere continuing unabated. Dev's tender gesture of feeding Shanaya by hand elicited laughter and applause, adding to the festive ambiance.
In the midst of the festivities, Yash and Ishika found themselves engaged in conversation, exchanging pleasantries and getting to know each other better. However, as the dinner drew to a close and the guests began to disperse, Yash seized the moment to approach Ishika with a bold request.
"Hey, Ishika," he called out, his voice filled with tentative hope.
Ishika turned to face him, her expression a mixture of surprise and uncertainty. "Hey, Yash," she replied, her hesitation palpable.
Summoning his courage, Yash made his request, "Can I get your number?" unaware of the apprehension flickering in Ishika's eyes. She became shocked to hear this as they have barely known each other and was a bit hesitant because of the things she heard about Yash in the club about his many past relationships and him being a playboy, but she reluctantly agreed, offering him her number before bidding a somber farewell as the festivities came to an end.
