After your shift at work you head to your car in the staff car park, its freezing so you run to your car to get warm. you grab your car keys from your bag and unlock the car, you open the door and half way into the car.
'What is that?' you ask yourself. you find yourself staring at a poster on the ground. you get out of your car and pick the poster up from the ground.
you don't spend much more time in the cold and you get into your car, start it and look at the crushed poster in your hand.
the poster reads:
"Masked Singer Korea!

you stare at the poster.
what. the. fuck.
Masked singer Korea?! become a k-pop idol? what? you stare at the poster not believing what you are seeing. you can become a singer. your dream is right in your hands. you can make an impact in the world through music.
you can become and idol. you can someone's idol. someone's strive to keep going. masked singer... would you need to know Korean?
you are Korean Australian, your english is 1000 times better than your Korean. you mum and dad really didn't bother to teach you. they though you would naturally pick it up as you grew but your didn't.
i mean sure you understand it its just hard for you to speak it. your pronouncing needs lots of work. one time you called a Korean man a dickhead when you were 10 years old. so you would need to work on it a lot.
you put the poster down on the passenger seat of your car and drive home.
as soon as you enter your apartment you sit on the couch and call Hannah. she picks up almost immediately. she sound tired "its 4 in the fucking morning what?"
"i found a poster outside work. Masked Singer Korea" you say and Hannah gasps.
"i was going to tell you about that! you should totally enter! it's your dream!" she exclaims into the phone.
"yeah i know but my Korean..."
"i'll teach you!"
"you teach me? remember last time that happened?"
Hannah says silent on the other end. last time she go so fed up with you that you couldn't pronounce a word that she stormed out and didn't talk to you for two days.
"that's what i thought." you say.
"yeah sorry about that. my bad oops. it was so annoying~ i tried Y/N." Hannah replies.
you and Hannah sit in silence on the phone for a few seconds. "i got it!' Hannah yells.
"what?"
"i'll get my brother to teach you. you can fly to Korea and he will help you win!" Hannah says.
you go silent. would Chris do that for you? but he must be so busy all the time... "i don't want to be a pain to him. i'll just learn on Doulingo or something." you say.
Hannah scoffs "oh shut up. i'll text him rn..." you hear Hannah aggressively texting on the other end of the phone.
after a minute Hannah exclaims "He said he is happy to teach you! I'll text you his number rn"
you hold your breath, he said he would teach you? that's so nice of him! you get Hannah's text with his number. "omg thanks so much. but seriously you didn't force him into this...?" you ask.
Hannah gasps "i would never! how could you say something like that?! i mean would have but since i'm feeling nice."
you laugh at this and so does Hannah.
"Alright. i'm actually going to pass out now so good night and pls don't call me at 4 in the FUCKING MORNING! love you babes" Hannah says and hangs up the phone.
omg she is so hyper even at 4 am. you get dressed and ready for bed, you sit on your bed having a staring contest at your phone. you click on chan's number and send a message.
