you sit in the dressing room. staring yourself down in the mirror. you are at the finals of Masked Singer Korea. you are so close yet so far from your dream of being an idol. you have worked so hard to get to this point.
you wear a pastel purple, mid thigh length dress, it has a ruffle train at the back that goes to the ground. the dress is sparkly and one strap on you right shoulder. your hair is in a half up half down style secured with butterfly hair clips and ribbons. you wear white high heels as well.

you close your eyes to collect yourself, taking deep breaths. a staff member enter your dressing room, "we need you in the interview room now please." she says and you follow her. you sit down on the chair in front of may camera you put on your mask and the cameras film.
"how are you feeling about the finals?" the interviewer asks. you sigh, "to be honest with you i'm very nervous, i mean who wouldn't be? but i'm also excited and proud of myself that i have come this far." you state.
"do you think you'll win?" the interviewer asks. you think on it for a few seconds before responding "yes. i came here to win and nothing is going to stop me." you say. the interviewer nods and continues asking you questions.
"what song are you singing for the finals?" the interviewer asks. you shake your head, "thats a suprise." you state. another staff member come into the room making eye contact with you. "Missy you're on in 2 minutes." she says. you turn to the camera which is still recording "now if you excuse me, i'm going to make my dream come true."
you excuse yourself and follow the staff member, as you make your way to side stage you take the time to collect yourself. you close your eyes and block out everything, just you and your mind. 'you have come so far, you're not losing. you can do it.' you tell yourself. you open your eyes and walk out onto stage.
the MC looks shocked at your outfit, once you stand next to him you bow to him giggling, "wow Missy you look stunning." he states out of breath. you giggle at the complement. "how are you feeling about being in the finals? Stray kids along with other kpop idols are in the crowd tonight how does that make you feel?" the MC asks.
you turn to the audience and give a judgemental look meant for stray kids, the MC laughs "Stray Kids didn't tell me that they were coming. now i feel extra pressured. Why didn't you tell me Oppa?!" you say to the audience and they laugh. "Hannah is also here. Hello Hannah!" you continue.
you giggle with the MC, "well i do feel very happy to have made it this far. i want to win very badly but i'm still proud of myself for making it this far." you state. "well what song are you singing tonight? do your friends now?" the MC asks. you shake your head.
"no, none of my friends now what i'm singing tonight, all i've told them is that its written and sung by IU." you say. "well shall we leave you to it then? don't forget at some point during your performance you must take off your mask to reveal your identity. everyone give it up for Missy!" the MC shouts and runs off stage.
you are alone onstage and you close your eyes as the crowd quiets down and the music to IU's 'Love wins all' the crowd cheers. you start to sing and your in your own world, the lyrics calm you and you are transported to your happy place.
the lyrics flow smoothly as you sing the song, you hear people in the crowd clapping and cheering. as you sing the song you feel free and alive like nothing can stop you. as the instrumental plays you open your eyes and smile at the audience and you start singing again.
you finish singing the verse and start to sing the second chorus, you sing to your hearts content. as another instrumental plays you turn your back to the audience and you place your mic on the ground. you take off your mask, place it on the ground next to your mic and pick the mic up, you turn back to the audience and you see someone in the crowd who's jaw is dropped.
you start singing again and slowly walk to the foot of the stage, you close your eyes getting into the zone for the finale of the song, as the music gets louder, you sing louder. you take a deep breath in and sing your heart out on the last two sentences of the song.
you hold the last 'love' for as long as you can, you finish singing and open your eyes to a roaring crowd, everyone in the audience is screaming and giving you a stand ovation. you hear someone scream "THATS MY BEST FRIEND!!!". Hannah. you smile and wave to the audience.
20 minutes later
the MC comes back onstage with Luna, your competition. you both stand next too eachother and you see that Luna is shaking so much.
you hold out your hand and she takes it, "Its okay. take deep breaths." you say to her and she nods as she takes a few deep breaths. "you did really well by the way." she says to you. the crowd goes silent and the judges stare at you both.
"the audience and the judges have voted on who the winner is of this competition. it was very close." the MC says. you look down at your feet, you're so nervous. "the winner won by one vote. the judges admire you both and are very proud of you both... but only one person can win." the MC continues.
"the winner... who will win 450,000,000 won (500,000 AUD) and will debut under any company the winner chooses, is..." the MC opens and envelope, you brace yourself. you have waited for this moment your whole life, you are so close.
"MISSY! YOU WIN MASKED SINGER KOREA!" the MC shouts.
