"How long have you been here, Leng? Sorry, I just dozed off." Dunk asked, rubbing his eyes. Lengso, who had woken him, replied, "Just now. Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" Dunk said, trying to sound nonchalant.
"Dunk, stop pretending. Your face tells the truth. You were crying after getting Drake's invitation call, weren't you?" Lengso's concern was evident.
Dunk stayed silent, the weight of Lengso's words settling heavily on him.
"I know it's tough, but you need to move on. Attending Drake and P'Weave's engagement party will only hurt you more. Seeing P'Weave with Drake will be unbearable. I'm saying this for your sake," Lengso pleaded.
"I know that, Leng. But what can I tell Drake? He's one of my closest friends from high school. It'll look suspicious if I don't go," Dunk replied, his voice laced with resignation.
Realizing he couldn't change his friend's mind, Lengso sighed, "Alright, do what you need to. But remember, stabbing your heart is much more painful than breaking a promise. If you decide to go, text me. I'll be there with you."

"May I come in, Mr. Pirapat?" The voice from outside was familiar.
"Stop with the theatrics. Come in, you jerk," Earth responded, recognizing his best friend, Mos Panuwat.
"You could at least show some respect in your office," Mos teased as he entered.
"Don't flatter yourself. Get to the point. Why are you here? I have a mountain of paperwork," Earth replied, irritation creeping into his voice.
"Today we have a meeting with ForX Design Studio about our hotel's interior design. Their chief designer can't make it because of his wife's emergency surgery. They're sending two senior designers instead. Since I was the one who contacted them initially, they called me. What's your take on meeting without the chief designer?" Mos explained.
"It's fine. The design is complete. This meeting is just to finalize things. Tell them we're in," Earth replied decisively.
"Alright then. Now, how about ordering some snacks for your business partner, Mr. Pirapat?" Mos suggested with a grin.
"You're here for business, which is done. I don't have money to waste on your snacks," Earth shot back sarcastically.
Mos raised his hands in mock surrender, "I can never win against your sharp tongue. Fine, I'm leaving. See you at the meeting."

"Phi'Mix, did you hear we have to attend the meeting with PPTI Corporation instead of Mr. Thanawat?" Boom asked.
"Yeah, I heard. But why me? I hate corporate meetings. Why do I have to deal with this?" Mix replied irritably.
"Maybe you'll meet your soulmate there," Boom teased with a wink.
"Very funny," Mix grumbled, rolling his eyes......
