Joong can't help but notice that the man standing next to the famous businessman ,Earth Pirapat. They seem unusually close. Initially, Joong assumed they are partners, but their strikingly similar features suggested a familial bond; they look like brothers. He signaled for his manager, Tan, to join him and asked, "Who is that man?"
Tan glanced at the attractive figure and smirked knowingly. "That's Khun Pirapat's younger brother, Dunk Natachai," Tan replied.
Joong is surprised to learn they are half-brothers, but both have immersed in the same business world. However, Joong's attention is not on the business; it is on the enigmatic Dunk. He has found himself stealing glances at Dunk Natachai repeatedly. Despite the crowded venue buzzing with media personnel, Joong's eyes were irresistibly drawn to Dunk. His heart fluttered, an unfamiliar sensation for someone typically so reserved and private.
(** Think this is Dunk's look**)
Their gazes met several times, but Dunk seemed unperturbed, while Joong often turned away, flustered. Determined to break the ice, Joong decided to approach Earth Pirapat, hoping for an introduction to his captivating brother. After wrestling with his nerves, he finally mustered the courage to walk over to Khun Pirapat.
As anticipated, Earth Pirapat introduced Joong to his brother. Dunk greeted him with a polite but distant nod, offering a professional welcome and nothing more. Joong has found Dunk's aloofness intriguing and alluring.
As the evening progresses, Joong can't shake the feeling that Dunk is someone he needs to know. The hustle and bustle of the event, the flashing cameras, and the whispers of fame all faded into insignificance as Joong's thoughts have fixated on the quiet man who has inexplicably captured his interest like no one else ever had..
The event was winding down, and Joong sensed it is now or never to make his move on the captivating Dunk Natachai. This man is incredibly alluring, with his mysterious eyes and lean, athletic frame, enough to overwhelm anyone's senses. Joong can't ignore the urgent need to get to know him.
Despite Earth Pirapat's introduction to his brother, Dunk has been evasive, seemingly more absorbed in the surrounding conversations than acknowledging Joong, who has been yearning for his attention for far too. long.
"What could be so fascinating about these dull business talks when someone as handsome as me is standing right here?" Joong mused internally. He is jolted out of his thoughts when Tan whispered in his ear, "Can't take your eyes off Mr. Natachai, can you?"
Joong nearly jumped, whisper yelling, "What the hell?"
"Just go and talk to him. It's rare to see Joong Archen serious about someone," Tan teased before walking away, leaving Joong to wrestle with the butterflies in his stomach as he took a step closer to Dunk.
Approaching Dunk felt like moving towards a powerful magnet, the pull between them undeniable. Dunk had already noticed Joong, yet somehow remained unbothered, coolly indifferent to Joong's longing gaze.
Dunk's POV ,
An exceptionally handsome man entered the venue, causing the media to go wild as soon as he arrived. At first, I thought some famous actor had shown up, but P' Earth told me that this guy isn't either an idol or an actor..He's a professional racer, the biggest car dealer in Thailand, and currently an ambassador for many international and renowned Thai brands. He has a massive fanbase among teenagers, which makes him a hot commodity in the business world.
I can't deny that he is incredibly handsome, but there's something about his attitude that rubs me the wrong way. He has this "I don't care" demeanor, and his stare feels unsettling. To my surprise, I have noticed him glancing my way repeatedly. That handsome devil has something dangerously alluring in his eyes, making me nervous. But I can't show it. I need to keep my emotions in check. His intense gaze is starting to get under my skin.
Now, he's approaching P' Earth. P' Earth greets him warmly, treating him like the star of the event. But this guy keeps looking at me. It's getting irritating. P' Earth introduces me to him, and I muster all my professional decorum to greet him. I need to get away from his gaze as soon as possible.
As the event progresses, his eyes never leave me for a second. His chiseled face and the hint of his six-pack under his white shirt and coat are distracting. Ai saat, Dunk, what are you thinking? Control yourself.
He moves closer, his eyes locking into mine with an intensity that sends shivers down my spine. I try to focus on the conversations around me, but it's impossible. His presence is overpowering. I can feel his gaze burning into me, and it's both irritating and exhilarating. I need to get a grip. This is just an event, and he's just another attendee. But why do I feel like he sees right through me, into my very soul?
I take a deep breath, trying to steady myself. I can't let him get to me. I need to stay professional, no matter how hard it is to ignore the magnetic pull I feel towards him...
"Mr. Natachai, you seem very interested in the business world. No wonder you're set to take over PPTI Co.," Joong initiated as soon as he got closer to Dunk. He couldn't find anything to ask Dunk except business-related questions. He is trying his best to keep Dunk engaged in conversation.
"This devil's gaze is getting under my skin. I can't shoo him away, but I can't show my nervousness either," Dunk cursed in his mind. Out loud, he said, "Yes, I need to adapt to the business world for the sake of our family business." Dunk spoke with forced composure, not wanting Joong to realize his soul is dangerously trembling under Joong's intense gaze.
"Hmm, you should. So, Mr. Natachai, when are you going to take over? We should know, as your business rivals or friends-whatever you think of us," Joong tried to sound nonchalant, hiding his flustered soul.
"Wait until the official announcement," Dunk replied professionally. "Why is he still here? Everyone else is fawning over him, but he's blabbering nonsense here. Leave now and free my innocent soul from your scrutiny," Dunk cursed Joong internally.
It isn't that Dunk isn't interested in Joong. He is just trying to keep his cool. He had been hurt by his first love a few days ago, and now he doesn't want to get involved in another so-called "interest." This seems like a distraction as he is going to join the business world, so he is trying to show Joong that he isn't affected by his sharp, handsome face.
Joong, however, isn't easily deterred. "You know, Mr.Dunk, the business world can be quite lonely. Sometimes, it's nice to have someone who understands you, both inside and outside the boardroom."
Dunk's heart skipped a beat. Was Joong implying something more? He tried to brush it off. "I'm sure I'll manage. Thanks for your concern."
Joong took a step closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "What if I don't want you to just manage? What if I want you to excel, with me by your side?"
Dunk's resolve wavered. His first instinct was to push Joong away, but something in Joong's eyes made him pause. Maybe, just maybe, this could be different. "Let's see where the future takes us," Dunk said softly, leaving a glimmer of hope in his words.
Joong smiled, sensing a crack in Dunk's armor. "I'll be waiting, Mr. Natachai. Both in business and perhaps, in something more."
