Chapter 3~ I'm James By the Way.
*Authors note at the end*
Don't get me wrong I love Allison with all my heart, but if she doesn't stop talking about this new guy I'm going to smack her. She keeps going on and on about how he's so cute and dreamy. God. She hasn't even met him. I sort of understand her excitement though. A mysterious boy who transfers in the middle of our junior year and in her words 'a guy who has eyes that will make you melt'.
"Girl don't you have a boyfriend?"
"Yes I do. Me and Josh are very happy together. I'm not saying I want to date the new guy, but from what I see that guy is freaking hot Sam. And his Facebook page makes him seem like a really cool guy; someone we can hang out with."
"So you went on his Facebook page?" I ask her while stopping at a red light.
"Why wouldn't I?"
"You scare me sometimes you know."
"Sure sure whatever. We need to befriend that new guy before the football team turns him like the rest of them."
"What?! No way Allison. I'm usually with you in your crazy ideas but this isn't one of them. Why on the would would I befriend one of my brothers jockey friends. I think I get pushed into enough lockers on the daily don't you think."
The car gets so quiet it's ear pricing.
"I'm sorry Sam I didn't think of it like that."
"It's fine Ally I just don't want to take that risk."
If this guy is as nice as Ally says he is then sure I'll be friends with him,but that's a huge risk to take. My brother gets all of his jockey friends to push me into the lockers, trip me, and basically ruin my entire high school experience.
I pull into the school student parking lot and put the car in park. We get out the car and walk towards the front doors of the school.
"Okay what if the guy turns everyone on the team good?"
"Allison come on your kidding your self."
"Yeah I'm dreaming a little too big aren't I?"
"Just a little."
We laugh and walk down the hallway to our lockers.
It's something very odd about today. Like I'm waiting for something to happen. Something usually happens around this time when I first walk in.
I stop walking to look around a bit to see if it would come on to me. Ally eventually stops walking too and puts her hand on my shoulder.
"You okay Sammy?"
"Yes...I mean no. Yes I'm fine, but don't you feel strange. Like something is different this morning?"
"Strange like your brothers jocky friends didn't mess with you when you first walked in."
That's it! Everyday when I first walk in to the school it's always something new with those guys and it never fails. It's feels so weird for it not to happen. Not that I want it to..it just feels a little off because I'm so used to it.
"Yeah that's it!"
"Must be the work of the new guy."
She says to me and winks.
"Enough with this guy already gosh!"
We continue walking until we reach our lockers that are right next to each other's. Once I'm done I turn to Allison and tell her I'll meet up with her again at lunch. She nods and we go our separate ways. My first period is chemistry which is two floors up. Ugh I hate stairs it's too much physical activity, but I sadly have to go up them.
